period one week late....not sure when or if I should test?

I finished up my last pack of pills on Sun, 9/19 and had a normal breakthrough bleed that came that Tuesday (9/21) and lasted about 5 days which is normal. I had unprotected sex on 10/1 and 10/3 and bleeding which started after sex on 10/3 but not normal....only lasted about a day. Since then, no sign of my period and now puts me at about a week late if I count from my breakthrough bleed. I know it's very unlikely to be pregnant immediately after stopping pills, but I have went off of the pill before and my periods never missed a beat....I've always been very regular. I guess I'm just confused because of the strange very short bleed I had on 10/3...I don't know what that was?? No real pregnancy symptoms, although today my breast seem to be a tad more sensitive and seem heavy if that makes any sense. But I tell myself I'm just imagining things. Being that I stopped the pill, I don't know if I should even test or not because I may not be late at all if my body just hasn't adjusted yet. Plus...I'm really not in a hurry to see a negative result. Anybody out there experienced anything similar?? What should I do???
