what is trichmonia, is it real bad disease

Loading...

Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted disease caused by a parasite called Trichomona. The only way to get the parasite is through sexual activity, you can not get it from public toilets.

A person is more likely to get it if they are having unprotected sexual activities with more than one partner.

Have you been diagnosed with Trichomoniasis? You didn’t say if you were male or female. Girls are more prone to infections that boys are.
A woman may have no symptoms but if symptoms were present, they would include foul smelling or green discharge from the vagina, vaginal itching or redness. These symptoms could be accompanied with painful, lower abdominal discomfort, and frequent urge to urinate.

Men are most likely not to have any symptoms but if they do, then it is discharge from the urethra, the urge to urinate, and a burning sensation with urination.

This disease is treatable by using antibiotics. Both (all) partners need to be treated, otherwise the infection will return. If you continue to have sex during treatment, make sure you use a condom, otherwise you won’t treat it. It would be best though if you could refrain from having sex during the treatment. Have you been prescribed anything?
