I am a 20 female virgin. I'm not really sure when this started, but it's kind of annoying and embarrassing. I've began to notice that anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes after I've peed and whipped, it seems that my bladder leaks a little. Sometimes I feel it and other times, I don't typically notice until I use the bathroom again. This only occurs after I use the bathroom. If I go hours without going, no matter how badly I have to go, I never leak.

Any idea what may be going on?

Hello, guest.

Sometimes, the bladder might not empty completely when you urinate, leading to what's known as post-void dribbling. This can result in a small amount of urine leaking out afterward.

Another possibility is the strength of your pelvic floor muscles. These muscles support the bladder and urethra, and if they're weak, they might not function as effectively, leading to leakage. Weakness in the pelvic floor can occur for various reasons, including natural variations in muscle strength, lack of exercise, or being overweight.

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) could also be a factor. While they often cause symptoms like pain or burning during urination, sometimes they can present with subtle changes in urinary habits, including leakage.

Anatomical variations in the urinary tract can also lead to issues with bladder emptying or leakage. Additionally, factors such as your hygiene habits, the way you wipe, or the type of clothing you wear might contribute to the sensation of leakage.

Ensuring that you're emptying your bladder completely when you urinate can be helpful. Leaning forward slightly while urinating can aid in this. Strengthening your pelvic floor muscles with exercises, like Kegel exercises, may also be beneficial. And, of course, staying hydrated and maintaining good toilet habits, such as not rushing during urination, are always good practices.
