my sister has myelofibrosis and her spleen is quite enlarged. Her physician had her consult for radiation. Does this make her spleen more fragile? She has problems with her balance due to some previous surgeries on her feet and her poor eyesight and falls frequently. I am concerned that if she gets radiation her spleen may be more easily injured. Can you help, she is having difficulties making the decison. She was not referred for pain.
