Hey girls,

I probably just went through one of the scariest experiences of my life.  Two weekends ago I had oral sex with my new boyfriend whom I already had oral sex with before, this being the second time. Beginning the day after, my vagina would not stop itching in one area under my labia. I thought nothing of it and figured it was from shaving and then having it touched the same day. So I took a shower and put unscented lotion on it and dried it. Still itchy. Now it started hurting when I walked and rubbed against my clit. I finally took a look and saw a little bump like a zit on my labia. So to keep the bump from touching my clit when I walked, I slid toilet paper underneath the lip of my vagina for a couple days. Once I stopped it was BEYOND irritated underneath, a different kind of rash than the original bump. I was freaking out thinking it was an STD. I googled everything and it just drove me insane. I talked to my boyfriend who said he saw a little rash above his shaft. Freaked me out even more. I finally told my mom and went to the ER where they took a urine and swab test. Those next few days were nothing but stress and pain. I saw new sores, more irritation, my tongue was looking funny, I got a bump on my middle finger that looked like a cold sore. It hurt so bad when I peed. I was sure it was Herpes. Cried myself to sleep and continued researching online which made me worry even more. Finally my test results came in (only part one) and it was a yeast infection. I'm about to go pick up my prescription right now. There are still two other parts to this test which can still result in the possibility of an STD. But I've honestly become more calm. Things like this happen and you have to understand that they give you the worst case scenarios online. Be calm, stay patient and don't stress yourself bc stressing yourself will lead to more symptoms !! The vagina is unpredictable and super sensitive. It can be any kind of reaction especially if you're a young girl like myself. Needed to share this bc there wasn't any kind of help or real life stories when I was researching to help me relate.
