Hi, I am 43 years old male and I am intending to remove the stone from my kidney. My doctor suggested me to do it by lithotripsy and I accepted it because it looked safer and less stressful than any other method. I would like to know something more about period which comes after lithotripsy.

Hi, lithotripsy is very good method for removing stones from kidneys without surgical procedure and damaging tissues. I had lithotripsy several months ago and I feel really great now. Great thing about lithotripsy is that won’t need to stay in hospital after this procedure and some small stones which may remain can easily be removed by uroscope

Hi laughton,

I believe that you were satisfied with answer orren has provided. Anyway this is not complicated procedure and after the procedure you will stay in recovery room for about two hours. Most of the patients are able to go home the very same day of the procedure. And usually this procedure, lithotripsy, removes the kidney stones completely. And how are you going to feel usually depends on how big the stones were and how many of them you had. And of course where did you have them in your urinary system. So for every patient is a different story.

Any additional information you will get from your doctor and you will be advised how to take care of yourself.
