I had my vaginal hysterectomy in August 2006. Everything went well. Post exam was fine. Still had pain a few months after. Called the Dr., he said it was "normal" and that I was still recovering and healing. I took his word on it. In Feb 2007, I had extreme pain in the pelvic area. Went back for an exam w/gyn. He sent me for a CAT scan of the pelvic region. Turned out, it was diverticulosis. Well, after a long awaited time, my husband and I were finally intimate. I had a sharp pain in the vaginal area and started bleeding. It was like the beginning of a lite period. I spotted for a couple of days and still had some pain. Called the Dr., he said if it persisted to call and set an appt. I don't know if I am "overreacting" or what, but I still have lower abdominal pain (no bleeding) but I constantly feel like I am ready to start my period! I had the surgery because of the pain and excessive bleeding (fibroids & endometreosis) my abdomin is very bloated and sore. Maybe the diverticulosis has some part to it, but I feel like my "region" is falling out of me. I don't want to keep calling the Dr. and acting like one of those problem patients, but I am just tired of the pain. It hurts when I cough, go potty, sit... is this normal? What kinds of questions do I need to ask the Dr? Someone please help me! :?
