Please help,
I'm a healthy 20 year old male who recently had a bad reaction to a pot cookie. Not two hours before eating it, I took my last 1000 mg Amoxcillin pill thinking the two wouldn't interact and might give me a MILD buzz. I was very wrong. I threw up like 7 times, felt my heart race, and eventually passed out (apparently the norm for an inexperienced user). Even though that was about three weeks ago, I'm still feeling some weird symptoms. I have heart palpitations, crazy anxiety (not necessarily panic attacks but depersonalization) and tingling headaches (particularly on the left side). THC and the pill are obviously out of my system by now, but for some reason these symptoms are still lingering. Alcohol eases it somewhat at first, but seems to cause insomnia and my heart to beat faster, despite have a resting rate of 42 pbm. Has anyone had a similar experience or know anything about the possible interactions of these drugs? Will it cause permanent brain damage, stroke, or any sort of long term depression? Despite my extreme stupidity, any help is greatly appreciated (I really don't want to have to tell my doctor about this). Thanks

Hi, I´m alot older than you, but also had a reaction to pot brownie and an antibiotic (Avelox). Depersonalization was my most evident reaction, and fear. That was 2 nights ago, and I was just about to eat another one because it hadn´t dawned on me that the cause of my depersonalization could be that combination. I decided to look on the web first, and found your post, which kept me from trying the combination again.
Thanks for posting! I had a hunch it might be the reason for my bad experience, and now I am reasonably sure, sure enough not to try it again!

So glad I came upon this post. Last night I took Avelox with edible marijuana from a legal store in WA. I had all these symptoms. It struck me that the pot was maybe heightening adverse effects of the antibiotic - which for Avelox includes anxiety, heart palpitations and muscular spasms. I've never been in such an anxious state that came in waves - building up in intensity and then subsiding over and over again for about three hours. I eventually passed out and woke up feeling ok - better as I approach the end of the half life. I am not doing that combination again.
