What drugs should be avoided during therapy with propranolol? What are the most common interactions of propranolol? I have started with propranolol a month ago. My doctor recommended me to use it during next 6 weeks, as a therapy of prevention of migraine headache. I’m interested in interactions of this medication, especially with pain medications. Are there any?

NSAIDs like naprosyne or motrin are not recommended to combine with propranolol. There is a list of medications that also should be avoided to take at the same time with propranolol, some of them are amphojel, cardizem, diupres. Than xylocain that is most commonly used local anaesthetic, so you should inform your dentist about your therapy. I haven’t heard for more that can be meaningful. I also was on propranolol because of severe migraine attacks, it helped me significantly and I felt so relieved that didn’t need any other medication. Hope it’ll help you to.
