So happy to find this thread! I'm a 57 year old female and have some health problems that have been controlled for several years. All of a sudden my daughter said Mom what's up with your neck? I hadn't noticed but when I looked I couldn't believe what I saw. Just like you have all said. Feels like a gel pack and worse on the left side. Mine isn't painful. We looked back to Christmas pictures and saw it then too. So I know I've had it for 60 days at least. Had full extensive bloodwork done this week and all was normal except some liver enzymes were slightly elevated. Also I had an abundance of cells. Whatever that means. Had CT done yesterday and all was clear. I thought I had Hoshimotos Disease, hypothyroid related. The levels on my bloodwork were fine. Have all the symptoms. Fatigue, the swelling, pains like tendinitis happening when I'm lying flat so during my sleep, irritability, some depression, joint and muscle pain, sleepiness, unable to lose weight no matter how hard I try, and more. If you research it someone may have this Hoshimotos disease. Apparently I don't but I still know something's wrong. I do drink. Need to drop about 25 pounds. Regarding the joints, etc I thought I had RA and was tested for that several months ago. I don't think I had the gel packs then. I do have controlled asthma and use Advair twice a day. My husbands says I breathe weird at night and I'm noticing we all seem to have breathing problems. The final conclusion I received from my doctor was I'm good. Just keep an eye on it and if it grows come back. Really? Anyone that can help shed any light on this please let me know. Or if I can answer any questions to help anyone out there, I will. There has to be an answer!
