Hi there, I have recently stopped seeing my neurologist here in the UK as there is nothing they can do for me anymore on the NHS after 2 visits. They saw me for 2 years privately however, how the 2 tier system works hey!
I was being treated for chronic migraine and pains in my arms and legs, especially the right side, that were so bad some days I was unable to move around without dragging myself. They were however unable to put their finger on the body pains and come up with any diagnosis. The headaches were always and still are triggered by bright daylight/sunshine or any bright lights and never go away its just down to the severity. I also find sleeping very difficult although I am generally tired.
I also find I can pull my muscles without even knowing I've done anything untill days after the event. I also suffer from speradic diarrhea which can come with no real warning at all.
The only decent releif I got was taking Topomax 2 x 100mg along with Duloxetine 1 x 60mg which I have been taking up untill about 5 weeks ago. Under the advice of my doctor I have SLOWLY , VERY SLOWLY reduced my meds, and I have now been med free for over 10 days. He wanted me to do this as he wanted to access me drug free before we move onto the next step as he thinks it could all be in my head!!!!!! He has also said its just something I'm going to have to get used to .
All through the withdrawl from the Topomax, which was awefull, the pains in my upper body have returned more severely. The best way to describe it would be constant electricity running through my upper shoulders, back, and down into my fingers and legs every time I move my body. When I get up from sitting I have to be very aware or I lose my balance immediatley and fall, also if I change direction quickly.
My limbs now also sieze up at night and its agony when I turn over. Generally though I feel fine in my self.
I have had a MRI on the brain, BAER and EEG also checked for sleep aepnia which all came back fine.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thanks Al

Just thought I should add the following,
I'm a 37 year old male, the only previous medical history is a microdiscectomy on L4 L5 in the year 2005 and I am partialy blind in my left eye 80%, due to an accident when I was 10 years old.
Thanks
Al
