I have seen a few posts like this but unable to see the replies... I started what I thought was an early period (about 2-3 days early). But it has been a very light one... I ovulated about 2 weeks ago I believe, and had intercourse around that time. Could this be the implantation? Or am I just being paranoid? I haven't filled a tampon yet, and probably could wear a panty liner all day. I have been having light cramps, but I also have an ovarian cyst on my right ovary that is causing some pain. I had a sharp pain that I couldn't pinpoint on my left hip area. It lasted about 2 minutes and then subsided.

Implantation bleeding is approx. 1 week-10 days after conception. If this is your time period, then that is what it could be. However, it should be a small amount of blood, not enough for a tampon. You would be able to wipe it off several times throughout the day and be fine. Also, it shouldn't be a bright red color.
From what you are describing, it sounds as though you may be starting your period early or possibly an early miscarriage. You would be amazed at the number of miscarriages that go unnoticed strickly because women mistake them as their period being a little late, when in actuality they were pregnant and didn't even know it.
Have you taken a PG test. If so, do that, and if it is neg. then I would think it is just your period acting whacky. If it is pos. then you may have miscarried. The hCg will still be in your system for a time after a miscarriage. Please re-post so I can know how you are.

It could be any of those things, in my opinion! Maybe take a pregnancy test and see what that says first!!!
