I was just switched from OxyContin to Methadone. I am taking 10mg Methadone 3x daily... Along with 10mg Oxy for breakthru pain... I know the Oxy's aren't intended for breakthru, and instead for extended-release; but I cut it in half, allowing it to become instant release... I was wondering if since I am on the Methadone, if the Oxy really even works?... You know, because the Methadone is stronger sticking to the receptors... Thanks, AJROG8.
