Hello, I am 32 years old and I have mioma in uterus. It was found out in period I tried to conceive. I tried several things, I had 2 miscarriages. Doctors recommended me to eliminate mioma. Doctor also said that they would probably use morphine as analgesic pre medication. It will be applied by rectal administration. I know that rectal administration of morphine is not everyday procedure do you know anything about it?

Rectal administration of morphine does not mean that the effect of morphine will be lessened. Because of very fast absorption in the intestines it has the same effect as the morphine taken IV. You do not have to worry, this procedure of administration, even though it is rare, is quite safe and will help you go through mioma operation more easily.
