Hi I am an 18 year old uncircumcised male and have been sexually active with my girlfriend for about 8 months. I have recently gotten some small red bumps on my penis, and my first thought was that it was an std but after some research I think it is balanitis. I have linked to a picture below, and I am wondering if anyone knows about this subject.

Hi,
There are many things it could be. You really need to get this checked out by your doctor.
NO SEX until you are cleared!
It could be balanitis, but it could also be a herpes breakout or molluscum contagiosum. It's hard to tell from the picture and some of these would need to be cultured.
It could also be an allergic reaction. Are you using a latex condom? Try one that isn't. Latex allergies are becoming very common.
Get it checked out and let us know what it is. Good luck.

Yeah dude- that looks like a normal case of balanitis. You should absolutely get checked to make sure. Even if it is just Balanitis (which occurs in about 30% of uncircumcised men) your doctor can prescribe treatment which will help clear it up faster and ensure it doesn't get worse. Let us know when you get confirmation and what your doc recommends!
