I recently got bumps on my penis head and had used polysporin to remove them. when i got tested for herpes i got swabbed while i still had the polysporin on my penis. I got the results and they were negative for the hpv, herpes . The bumps went away after a week or so and reappeared in a greater amount of bumps after i had masterbated. The bumps are itchy and irritating and i am worried if they will go away or not. Or wondering what i should do should i get tested again or will the results turn out the same, how do i get rid of these bumps for good? PLEASE HELP ME I AM REALLY WORRIED TO an extreme point.

Bobby,
The best answer is for you to return to your doctor and ask. If he/she is not certain then seek the help of a dermatologist.
Sorry it's the best I have for you at this time.

Thanks medic-dan,
I will return to my doctor but by any chance do u know if swabbing an infected area while its has polysporin on it, will affect the results of the test because the doctor also swabbed inside my urethra as well.

I don't think it would affect the test results, not from the urethral swab anyways. HPV and Herpes are both viruses and since polysporin is an antibiotic it shouldn't do anything.
It doesn't sound like herpes either as usually they crust.
It could be a form of balanitis, especially since the polysporin seems to have helped. Usually it presents as redness or blotchy rash.
Let the doctor take another look.
Good luck, let us know what they find.

Hey Medic-dan,
Yeah the polysporin seems to soothe the itchiness and heal it each time within a week or so depending on the amount of bumps that appear. There is no crust just many bumps ,but i guess maybe there might be no crust because i keep it clean and apply tons of polysporin twice a day. And perhaps it may be that 'balantis', im actually going to get this checked out tomorrow morning but thanks for your help.. it means a great deal to me that someone actually cares to reply and help me in this time of phychological suffering im going through.. im actually really glad i joined this forumn.
Thank you!
