I too have had repeated infections and a foul odor monthly ( not related to hygiene ) periods have been replaced by light to discharge accompanied by this odor. I think this is more common than even my Dr. realizeScott due to understand reporting due to embarrassment.  It's been 18 months and my Dr. can't give me any information. I wish I never had the procedure.  It did nothing for the pain and swelling and I would rather deal with the bleeding than the embarrassing odor.
