Hello, guys. My friends have a kid that has been recently diagnosed with Rett syndrome. I didn’t want to ask a lot of questions about it. That is why I came here in order to find out something more about this syndrome and its symptoms. I would really appreciate all your help.

Hello. Rett syndrome is a genetic disorder. It affects brain development and it affects almost always girls. It has symptoms very similar to autism. The first stage usually begins between 8th and 18th month of life. Some of the symptoms would be: symptoms fits, speech loss, general lack of interests, social interactions impairment, etc. Balance problems are also a possibility.
