I’ve noticed that smoke and strong odours cause development of rhinits in me. Is it type of allergy on these triggers? Should I treat it with antihistamines? The symptoms are similar to common rhinitis, like runny nose and congestion and itchy eyes. It’s hard to avoid these triggers sometimes. What should I do?

I’m sensitive on number of triggers from atmosphere, even sudden change of temperature. I use decongestants when rhinitis occurs and trying not to overdose it, because tolerance may develop. I’ve noticed that when my immunity is decreased, that allergic reactions are more likely to occur. I think that it is not exactly type of allergy, like pollen allergy is, but runny nose and sneezing are the same in both cases.
