Hi, I am 30 years old male and I am preparing myself to run a marathon. I know it is very difficult discipline but I like running very much and this is ultimate challenge for me. Since I was a kid someone in my family was running and I have run with him. I feel it is time for me to run the marathon and i would like to hear some suggestions.

I was running about 10 years before I decided to run a marathon. I thought that it will be just one more race for me and it won't be different than other races I have run till than. Marathon is completely different thing. It was race which could not compare with anyone other. Anyway I suggest you to prepare yourself very well before you go for marathon. 4-5 months of training would be enough. Very important thing is that you organize your training which will not exhaust your body. Do not train every day and after every long run take rest day. I suggest you not to run full length of the race but to keep it for day of the race. Mix your durability and speed training.
