Hello everyone,
I've been training for a Half Marathon for about 8 months. My goal is to continue at a 7:30 pace, and I've been sticking to a very strict schedule and training fairly intensely. However, today, I developed a sharp pain while running on my right foot (bottom right side), and it feels quite bruised. I'm wondering if it might be my running shoes, as I've yet to replace them.
My half marathon is in 11 days, and I'm worried that this injury may prevent my goals. When I try to run or walk on it, I have a sharp pain. I'm wondering if you guys had any suggestions as to how to help me so close to the race. I've iced it, but I do have to continue with my training schedule to ensure the outcome I'm trying to achieve. Is it wise to buy new shoes so close to the race?
Thanks so much.
