It looks like I did myself a bad favor but not showing patience and listening to doctor’s advices. I have been diagnosed with herpes zoster and prescribed with acyclovir. But the problem is, the skin was so itchy I had to scratch and now I am afraid of the possibility that the secondary bacterial infection might occur. Should I be?

Well, you could have spread the disease to some other parts of your skin and that is not a good thing, but I guess you know that yourself. Anyway, it is not such a big deal, I mean, whatever happens now, can be dealt with via medications. Just be certain that in the future you will be more careful and that herpes or similar infection will not happen, so there will be no fear of the secondary ones too.
