Hi, I was wondering the chance of pregnancy from this given situation:
Two weeks ago, I had a sex with a man who wore a condom that did not break. After we finished, we removed the condom and I serviced him orally, occasionally using my hands. He did not ejaculate from the oral sex. About ten minutes later, we had sex with a condom that did not break, again.
I was curious to find out how long sperm really live once they're outside of the male body. I had spoken with someone from Planned Parenthood and they said once the semen is dry, the sperm are dead and cannot be rehydrated to become alive again. I was/am very concerned with this since I used my hands to lubricate myself the second time we had a sex. We did not wash our hands or bodies between sexual encounters and I am not sure if the semen dried on my hands before the second time.
Also, I have been on combined hormonal BCPs for over two years. The time I take them varies within 30 min. or so. I'm not sure how this would likely effect the amount of protection I have from pregnancy. I understand that if they're taken perfectly (at the same time every day) they are going to be most effective. I was wondering if taking them for over two years straight increases my protection or not.
I am using the kind of BCPs called Portia and am doing tri-cycling to prevent my period as often. So I am not sure when I am/will be ovulating.
Last but not least, when I had spoken with someone from Planned Parenthood, they said pregnancy tests could be completed 10-12 days after conception. It was exactly two weeks ago, yesterday, that the man and I had sex; I took one test that turned out to be negative. This time frame seems way too soon, imo. When should I re-test again?
