I'm 19 yearsold and i have had this problem for about a year and noticed burning wihile urinating and a little bit of discharge. I got tested for STD's and the results were negative. I was told its just a bacterial infection, and from what i read a bacterial infection can cause these gel substances depending on how sever it is. You may not know you have an infection. I've been taking antibiotics and the discharge is gone and the burning is going away. As for my gel friends, no change yet but i'll keep you posted if they disappear so you can talk to your doctor about an appropriate treatment.

i've had this same problem once i went to iraq for 6 months without masturbating
the first thing i did when i got home was rub one out it was increadible but when i finished
i seen that there was little gel spots in my semen about the size of half a tic-tac
me just getting back from iraq and all i done thought i caught a diesese from over there
it happened again about 2-3 more times but i managed to finally get rid of it before i went
and seen a doctor, what i think the problem was is lack of hydration! so maybe try drinking
more water and see if it doesnt help out with yalls problem.

I am 24 and have noticed this a few times off and on as well. My wife and I are expecting our first child in two months. But I would still recommend going to the doctor because it is not normal and would always be better if taken care of sooner rather than later.

I am 26 and I have had the gel globules in my semen also for several years. I notice it more when I haven't ejaculated for several days. I also notice it more during harder ejaculations. I thought back to something that I actually learned in a highschool animal science class and it makes perfect sense to me. We were told that toward the end of ejaculation, a gel-like mass is released to help hold the semen inside of the vagina, kind of like a "plug" you might say, to help increase conception. I don't see why animals would really be much different from humans in this aspect of life. I say it's perfectly natural.

Hello I have done self studies on this issue tho I'm not a doctor I too had this yellowish clear gel in my ejectculation I noticed the first time I masterbated in a really long time its a build up of sperm that forms in you testies then it is release in a large amount all you need to do is materbate more or have "safe" sex more often. Not to sound weird but I masterbated about 3 times a day for 1 week and my sperm was normal I stoped for 2 months then masterbated again and I got the yellowish gel like sperm then the next time I masterbated it was back to normal in my opinon I don't see a reason to be worried about it unless everytime you masterbate or release sperm this yellowish gel comes out then I suggest to see a doctor could be a build up or infection

gel like means the semen is not fresh and quite old,it means it has been produced and stayed inside for some time

it's normal

- Do a sperm test , urine for infections
- Go to a urologist
- Ask for ultrasound of the scortum to check for any problems, varicosele, hydrocele, etc

Good luck

what about dehydration most of us dont think about the possibility but do any of us really get enough water. with pop or coffee the body uses water to try and help flush out the impurities, and most of us never even think about what it can affect

This is true, if you don't ejaculate at least once a week, the semen can become gel-like because it is old.

I'm 20 years old guy and these couple of months I've noticed some yellowish jelly-like substance in my semen. I'm really concerned about, cuz one site says that's perfectly normal and you shouldn't care about, but another one says that's not normal, it could be related to a bacterial infection and you should set an appointment to a specialist and probably start a treatment based on antibiotic drugs.

Please, if anyone has the right answer let us know. As I could realize, that stuff has been on at a lot of men, so those who has already had an appointment with the specialist and got the answer to this sh*t that freaks men out all over the world, please don't hesitate to post here your experience.

Hi, I'm 32 years old & I have had a lot of this jelly-like substance with a yellow tint to it in my semen for as long as I can remember....didn't think anything of it until different women started asking me about it, so then I knew that it wasn't very normal, so I got checked for all std's but came up neg. for anything (clean) & I know I don't have any fertility issues because I have my 2 children that live with me plus a few others else where from being young and dumb. I was always to embarrassed to ask a doctor about it & it wasn't till now that I thought to look online & I'm glad I did cause it seems to be more normal than I thought. On a more personal note, I kinda like it.... I think it gives extra pleasure during the sensitivity of the ejaculation!

While Yellow/white, stringy/gel-like structures in the semen are not generally harmful, they are not normal either. First off, the condition usually corresponds to a smaller amount of semen and a pressure in the urethra as the structures are forced through it, which in many instances can become uncomfortable. Anything that is uncomfortable is not normal.

I will list the many causes for this condition that I have found.

-Nicotine...even small amounts

-To much Caffienes

-Consuming Artificial sweetners, especially aspartame

-Hormones/antibitoics -Both are found inside much or today's foods, especially meats(*chicken*)/milk. Either elimate them or eat organic chicken and drink organic milk, female hormones inside of a male body usually don't have good results. Note that this is for someone who eats chicken and drinks milk daily.

-hemmorhoids/inflamed prostate/bacteria infection... any form of strain such as straining during a bowel movement or lifting weights can inflame the prostate and cause hemmoroids. This can also make it easier to get infections inside the postate. Another common cause for inflamation and infections are internal hernias (must have an ultrasound performed) and there seems to be a strong relationship to varicoceles (enlargement of the veins inside of the scrotum). Antibiotics along with a anti-inflammatory will usually solve this in cases that don't involve hernias.

I've had this for months, maybe a year. I have way too much work and family stress, i smoke pot and more than usual lately, i don't drink near enough water and i def. don't eat like i should. I've read that this could be an STD (gonorrhea) and i've also read that it is completely normal. I can't afford to go to the doctor so i keep looking for something definate. Maybe all the stuff we've listed are part of the cause. THe more stress, the more pot, the less water we drink, the terrible food we eat all play a part. maybe some bigger than others.

I'm 28 and I've had similar globules in my ejaculations for years.  I've never really been concerned about it.  I have 2 healthy kids, only had 1 sexual partner who was a virgin when we married.  I'm starting to wonder what the globules are now.  I'm still not really concerned, just curious.  I will say that often times the globules make my ejaculations more intense and more enjoyable.  I'm pretty sure they are linked to hydration as they seem to be more prominent in the summer.  I wouldn't be concerned if the globules are the only symptom you're showing.  But if you are experiencing any discomfort you should get to a doctor ASAP.

Is an anthologist a real doctor or M.D.? I looked it up on 'Wiki' and got anthopolgy or oncology (cancer) as closet match. I really don't understand this kind of help for your condition.
I would recommend going to an M.D. that specializes in fertility. She/He could do the best job there.
I am 51 and have witnessed this on and off all my life. If it is a concern, go to the right kind of doctor.
