I have this for the last 21 years, first noticed had every check under the sun for STD's, it has been linked with Prostatitis although I havent been checked for that, but also aware that it could be an underlying infection, like one chap said.

However at 55 and a 7 year old son, everything works really well!

Exactly! According to Islamic Medicine, it is completely depended on the food we eat! some food can affect the semen and in this way it looks normal. some foods like Dates, cinnamon, meat, milk , and proteins ...
but there are some doubts that it could be made of compiling semen in epididym...
if that was because of this it may not be normal

i agree with you. thc suppresses the production of testosterone and its insufficiency in male lead to gel-like beads in your ejaculation

Hi there. My boyfriend and I (I'm a woman) have been sexually active for over a year and within the last five months I've noticed a change in the consistency of his semen. We both have been recently tested for STDs. His semen is gel like with clumpy white substances in it. Someone described it as egg white looking, which I think is almost spot on. It has a very rubbery texture to it and it is uncomfortable to touch at times. I've also been contracting yeast infections almost immediately after unprotected sex. Any thoughts on what this could be? I wonder if the change of consistency is related to contracting yeast infections as well.

I'm 24 and this happens to me sometimes but not every time I ejaculate. I first noticed when I used to take strong pain killers. Then when I quit it went away but then a year later I noticed it again so I got checked for any medical problems because sometimes my semen would have an orange tint to it as well. But all tests came back fine. Still sometimes I notice my semen has a jelly like consistency and sometimes it doesn't. I think it's pretty normal since many people are experiencing this. Plus this has been happening to me off and on for years and every time I go to the doctor they say I'm healthy. So I'm sure there is nothing to worry about. However the rule of thumb when it comes to health and your body is, if something doesn't feel right or if you are worried about any changes in your body, go see your doctor and get it checked out just to be on the safe side.

You know there are some STDs that there are no tests for unless they are inflamed. They can also remain dormant and go unnoticed for years because there are no tests for them while they are dormant. Herpes for example can remain dormant for years and you can only be tested for Herpes when you have an outbreak

There's no need to stress — this phenomenon isn't as sticky as it might seem. Chunky or clumpy semen is normal and probably isn’t a symptom of a sexually transmitted infection (STI). Semen (a.k.a. cum, ejaculate) can vary in texture, odor, color, and taste. While biology causes most differences among people with penises (PWP), factors such as temperature, physical activity, diet, and recent ejaculations also may have an effect. Semen can also change in consistency and appearance in the minutes after leaving the penis. A little worried and Reader, while natural differences do exist from person to person, if you notice other symptoms along with a change in the semen you may consider talking with a health care provider. For more information on what classifies as “healthy semen” and to know what to look out for, read on!

Healthy semen typically has a cloudy white or grayish appearance and will have a chlorine-like smell. It tastes slightly sweet due to high fructose content, but the flavor of semen may be dictated by a variety of factors and thus it can vary. Like breath and perspiration, each PWP has semen with a taste and smell of its own. Therefore, while there’s some suggestion that changes in diet can change the taste of semen, any modifications made may only have a limited effect.

In terms of consistency, right after ejaculation, semen is more likely to have a jelly-like texture. After ejaculation, proteins contained in semen can cause it to become thick, sticky, and clumpy. This consistency helps increase the chances for fertilization, since the semen is less likely quickly to come out if it sticks high in the vagina. It’s quite normal for semen to form jelly-like globules and this doesn’t indicate any health or fertility problems. Regarding any other changes you may notice, the amount of semen and the force at which it’s ejaculated tends to decrease with age. As PWPs age, their prostate and pelvic muscles also age, causing many to notice that they’re producing less semen.

In the event that a change in semen is accompanied by pain, fever, sexual dysfunction, blood in the urine or unusual discharge from the penis, or if changes persist for longer than a week or two — it may be time to talk with a health care provider or urologist. If semen is mixed with blood, it may be due to an infection, but it’s generally hard to tell. Assuming an infection is the culprit, the PWP may also experience other symptoms such as painful urination.

So, bottom line: having a variety of semen textures is normal and healthy! However, if you experience other symptoms it may be worth talking with your health care provider to rule out any health concerns. Otherwise, continue having a happy, healthy sex life!

I have had this issue for like a long time. It solved itself when I gave up smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol. Smoking and drinking cause dehydration which is may be why we see dense jelly chunks. My color of semen has also returned to natural white color. During my smoking period, it was causing my semen to look yellow. But it's been quite a while since I smoked any cigarettes and my semen has returned to its natural color and consistency. I have been drinking a lot of water and going to the gym lately. During this period I also started eating vitamin c supplements because cigarettes deplete vitamin C and I thought I should be talking it. So now my semen is normal ( no more jellies), I don't know which thing to blame but here is the recap of everything I did -
1-Quit smoking cigarettes
2-Give up or reduce alcohol.
3-The idea of giving up cigarettes and alcohol was to avoid dehydration. So if you are having something which causes your body to dehydrate then give it up.
4-Have vitamin C because cigarettes deplete vitamin C from the body fast.
5-Hit the gym
6-Drink lots of water.

I hope it helps. At least it did in my case.
