Hi there! I have a lot of your same symptoms. I know this is an old thread, but did you recover? I'm five months off and could use some hope.

Thanks!

Hi. I wrote in this thread under 'shrubo' it took around 10 months for me but I am ok now. I went through a lot of tests etc as my dr was very thorough. Once we ruled out anything neurological via MRI, CT and a neurologist visit we went down the path of Endocrinology and had some hormone testing. Which all was ok. At the end and after all of what I had been through all my issues (tingles etc) were anxiety related and we believe my bodies withdrawal from the Pill aftrr 16+ years. I still get mild tingles etc but I now understand them so I relax and allow my body to calm. During the ordeal I did take supplements (evening primrose, maca, magnesium, vit d and B) also used lavender oils and stayed away from stressor like caffeine, sugar etc. If I felt an 'attack' coming I would distract myself with a walk or doing dishes etc.
The biggest thing that allowed me to move on was knowing medically via my test etc i was ok amd also i kept a diary of when, how and why I had the tingles and would account for the triggers.
I hope this helps. It was a really rough few months and I understand your concerns. Wishing you all the best.

Thanks so much for responding. I too have had an MRI on head and neck, heart echo, and extensive blood work. My hormones were tested and came back estradiol 29 pg/ml on day five of my cycle and progesterone .52, both of which seemed low. I'm on a natural progesterone cream and adrenal supplements to hopefully help. Did you have Balance/eyesight/weird, fuzzy head? I feel almost constantly off balance, foggy, spacey and like my vision is off. It's so terrible and debilitating. I'm so scared to be like this forever. Shyla

I did have a fuzzy head and my eye's would twitch. Went to optometrist and all ok. From my reading up, from memory progesterone is a key protector of our nerves. It is a key component of the protective sheaths around our nerves. The pills synthetic progesterone can mess with our bodies natural ability.

Wow, so interesting. My eyes twitch too. Eye doctor said my eyes are pretty good. I have a constant bad feeling in my head, almost flu like. Headache, pressure, sensitive to light, like a band around my forehead. It's better sometimes than others, but always present.

I thought I saw that you got pregnant a few weeks after stopping, is that right? Did that help regulate your hormones?

I did fall pregnant but unfortunately lost the first baby very early 6-7weeks. Not due to any of my issues just under lots of work stress etc. I fell pregnant again in June and had a healthy pregnancy and a little girl who is perfectly healthy. I suffered the normal baby blues and struggled for 2 weeks but everything came good. My anxiety was mostly caused by work so now being on maternity leave I have been found it has really settled. I refuse to go back on the pill and I am not going back to that job so I feel the symptoms really died down once I controlled the triggers. It's a horrible cycle whilst you are in it as you feel like something really bad is wrong and that triggers the anxiety which makes the fuzziness and tingles worse. I think in time as I received all my medical reports back as all ok and realizing the triggers I gained control. It still occurs the face tingles etc but I know why and have control. But it did take 9-11 months.

Hi girls, I'm so glad i found this blog. I know it's an old thread but i have been experiencing some of your symptoms as well. I have been off birth control for 3 months. Since then i've been experiencing weird symptoms:

-blurry vision
-eye twitching
-muscle soreness
-leg discomfort
-right side of the abdomen discomfort
-ovulation discomfort
-stomach pinching and burning
-sleep deprivation
-numbness in my hands
-tingling sensation, like something is crawling up my back
-cramping in my abdomen
-chest pain (trapped gas)
-heart palpitations
-anxiety (mild)
-skin dryness and sensitivity
-sore breast
-weight loss
-etc

It's been quite a ride and even though most of these symptoms mentioned above have gone away I still feel right side discomfort and stomach cramping and burning and leg discomfort. Every month is different. I have had my period normally, 28 days cycle, and it's been light and heavy as well. Im gonna start taking magnesium and zinc to see if it helps. I take Omega 3 (Dr Tobias brand, in Amazon) which has helped with my muscles soreness. I also take cod liver tablets. I was taking the vitamins B complex but dont like the urine color when taking them, it's like a neon color. Im exploring other brands. But i'm trying to avoid vitamins and try to eat and consume those vitamins I need through food. Im 36 years old and had been on the pill for more than a decade. I wish I would have known all this before taking the pill. I actually stopped the pill twice but this time was very different. I have gone to my gynecologist and explained the situation and she rapidly said it wasn't the pill. She said the pill only prevents ovulation. She wasn't supportive at all. I felt so alone and googling my symptoms didn't help me at all. So i did my own research and found blogs with this same discussion even though this one has been more helpful to me. Lots of women going through the same issue. It can't be a coincidence and it's not. There are side effects of coming off the pill, no doubt. Some women don't feel nothing after coming off the pill, like my sister, and some do, like us. It takes time like all the research I did says. I downloaded some apps that help me with my cicle:

-Kindara
-Clue
-Glow
-Eve
-My calendar

All these apps help me to chart, which I'm doing, I take my temperature everyday when i get up or before getting up. This process is to help me understand when i'm ovulating. I'm not trying to have babies right now but I do get ovulation discomfort since coming off the pill and it has helped me prepare better on fertile days. Also each app has a community section with woman with the same issues as us which really helps and makes me feel supported. I'm doing everything in my power to ease this horrible process. At the beginning, I used to freaked out and cry because i was scared. Im learning to take it day by day. I'm very hopeful that things are gonna be fine. Stress kills so i try to keep busy. I have a full time job and I'm constantly up and down. I work out 2 to 3 times a week, don't want to over do it cause I lost weight. I go out with my family, go shopping, do research in the internet, connect with other people, with the same situation as me, read and try to keep busy and not overthink stuff. That's the worst.
God bless you all and hope to feel better soon. All of us. Please keep posting and updating. It helps! Thank you.

Oh wow, congrats on a healthy pregnancy! Yeah the mental fog/disassociation is the worst part for me. Most of my physical symptoms have subsided I think?? Or lessened. Weird fog/eyesight/mentally feeling absent are my worst symptoms.

Did you ever have hormones checked? I've started a natural progesterone and adrenal health supplements by Gaia per my doctor. My estradiol was 29 pg/ml on day seven of my cycle, and progesterone was .52. Super low said I could try estradiol gel but she's hesitant about it. Would rather me wait it out, but dang, I'm miserable sometimes.

Anyone else have severe brain fog? It's scaring me. Any solutions? I've had a head and neck MRI already. My estrogen was 29pg/ml on day 6 or 7 of my cycle. Is the brain fog from low hormones or fluctuations or????
