i have been diagnosed as having severe diverticulitis also a tortuous sigmoid colon, when I stand or walk I am in very bad pain and if I walk for 5 - 10 minutes i am in pain for the rest of the day unless i lie down. I am also having problems with my blader and passing urine i am incontinent and cannot control my bladder i am also passing urine every time i stand or move. what can i do , i pass wind all the time which smells terrible I never get constipated i always have diarrhoea.

I thought that I was the only one with this exact same condition which all of the doctors I have seen on Long Island have failed to give a hoot about! I can stand a lot of pain, but I end up dragging my left leg all over the place. The common misconception is that Long Island is filled with all affuent people. Many more are low to middle class with an ever-growing number of "government-sinecured" employees who have terrific insurance to go from doctor to doctor. I do not have that beneficence and am feeling as though all these doctors want to do is make a pile on tests which go no where and are intrusive to say the least. they blame the insurance companies as i did but now I am beginning to see the greed and lack of truly humane feeling is at both ends.
