My kid is two years old and we are trying as much as we can to keep him healthy. This also includes going to dentist and I would like to ask you if I should consult my dentist when I am buying toothbrush for my child? I mean, those are only baby teeth, at one point those would be completely switched, but how important is the oral hygiene in the small kids?

Very, very important. It is not that caries is something deadly, but the point is in the kids learning about the importance of keeping the mouth completely healthy and that of course includes the teeth. As for the brush, I guess that his dentist should be the one to determine what brush would be the best, especially since there are several types, depending on the state of the gums, for example.
