I am being put under via general anesthesia Friday morning for dental work and I am not sure whether I should take my 85mg dose the night before or the morning of the dental procedure? If I take it the night before I will get a good nights sleep which the anesthesiologist said was important, but if I take it the morning of I won't be as anxious. What are the drawbacks to taking it the day of or the night before? The anesthesiologist said to take medications as normally taken & I told him I could take it at night or morning that it didn't matter to me & I had decided with him on taking it the night before so I can sleep better before the procedure, but I am wondering if I have made any kind of mistake making that decision? I was worried to take it the morning of because I have asthma & I feel like the methadone does depress my breathing which I figured couldn't be a good side effect while going under as the anesthesia is also a CNS depressant. Am I making the right choice? Or should I go ahead and take it the morning of? I can text him and let him know I am taking it the morning of instead of this would be a better option. I usually take it in the evenings or night expect for once a month when I have to dose at the clinic which happens in the morning. I usually just skip my nightly dose the day before the clinic. I just had my refills Tuesday(I missed Monday) so I took it in the evening/night all month until this Monday & Tuesday I took it in the morning. Now today I am about to take it this evening then tomorrow I was planning on taking it in the evening as well so I can sleep better. I can always switch back to mornings if that would be better though with no crappy effects. If anyone has any insight it would be much appreciated. Thanks guys!!
