A little while ago I noticed I was producing a lot of extra smeg (i believe thats what its called, can be referred to as cheese?) around my penis when I pulled my foreskin back. For a few days every now and then I produce a bit too much pre cum and smeg and it becomes very itchy. But this has only happend a few times with it lasting a couple of days. Now however i've got like a white film that rubs off when in the shower which is on the penis. When I rub it away it looks like toilet paper that has got wet, best way to describe it. When I pull my foreskin as far as I feel comftable its more like smeg/cheese and yellowy colour.
Apart from the times which is rare when it gets a bit itchy it does not bother me in any way. However it does not seem to be going and could be quite embarrassing in certain situations. I'm not sure what to do as i'm not comfortable seeing or talking to a doctor about it and hope its curable without doing so.
Any help will be much appreciated

This is candida infection. Over the counter clotrimazole (canesten) used three times a day and after every urination for 5 to 7 days should sort it.
If you are sexually active then you should wear condoms until this clears or you will infect your partner. If you already have a regular sexual partner then they should also be treated with antifungals in any case. A single 50mg tablet of fluconazole each could be enough to clear this up for both of you otherwise you will reinfect each other. If you get this infection recurring then you need to be tested for diabetes.
