I am having the same prob sore nipples and just came off the pill too, Yasmine - so iam going with 3 people with the same symtoms is a trend so has to be due to the pill!!! But so annoyingly sore!! Not like I have experienced before! Oh and I haven't had sex either since before I came off the pill! Good luck!

I wonder how many of the people here ended up being pregnant?? Just would be intresting to know since quite a few cited having sex while off the pill. Anyway, Google led me here as I of course am experiencing the same problem, and also went off pill after being on it for 7 years in December. I sound much like the first girl who posted...minus the sex...unfortunately :$ . Anyway, I am going to just assume its a hormonal thing.....soo unnecessarily painful though...it's like I can't even wear clothing. Someone mentioned something about the duct being blocked, and I wonder about that because stupid me, the other day when I got out of shower I noticed the skin on my boobs was really dry and rough, so I moisturized only slightly with Aveeno Intense Relief Hand Cream..apparently it "lasts through handwashing"...aka - it's dense stuff!! *sigh* :-( I normally get really sore boobs/nipples before my period, but I haven't had one since December so that probably isn't helping the situation (I do have PCOS), and may explain why its worse than normal. Well, if anyone else has found some intresting information about this problem of red, hard, sore nipples whilst not pregnant, please share here....wouldn't want anyone to shrug it off and then it become a real problem...ouch o.O

Hello Lady's I have just gotten off my birth control about three weeks ago had sex un protected last week but he pulled out. I woke up this morning with Hard sore erect nipples and my breast are not sore. It sounds like we all have had these symptoms coming off birth contol but like the rest of you worried. I don't know when I should have my next period sense I just got off the pill but would normaly next week. Has anyone found out they are prego yet or not?

I recently stopped putting in my nuva-ring and am scheduled to have my period, but it's late. I have not been sexually active since taking it out and my nipples are tender, sore, and constantly erect. I am assuming it is due to the hormonal imbalance from taking out the nuva-ring. I have been on the nuva-ring for 2 years and this is the first time i've not had one in. I suggest if you're having unprotected sex to just take a pregnancy test, I know it's scary but your mind can drive you crazy with questions, better to just know!

Im 19 and I am on the Nuva ring, but i "lost" it and havnt been on it for the past few weeks. I have had sex recently but I am not pregnant because i had a test done at the doctors. but reading through these makes me believe that it is hormonal. considering being pregnant is hormonal and taking contraceptives is hormonal and getting off of them is hormonal and puberty is hormornal. just take a test if you are worried but other than that its probably just womens hormones.

Hey i just stopped taking Yaz like a week ago or a week and a half. my nipples are so sore and dry and they hurt and tingle i wanna say. i hope its just the hormones and not indicating that i am preggo. tell me when you hear back.

Came of Yaz a week ago and was wondering why my nipples were like the studs on football boots. Glad I've read these posts as clearly I'm not the only one. Just hope the hormones balance soon as it's pretty uncomfortable!!

I also just got off of yaz and having the same symptoms with additional back pain, abdominal pain, tender breasts, heartburn (had for a week) been off the pill three weeks, been tired but I think its due to the antiobiotics, two negative pregnancy tests and I wrote exams. Maybe its just the hormonal drop.

I have the same problem as most here, went of the pill two weeks ago and now my nipples hurt like hell, how do you stop them from being sore or do you just have to wait it out? :-(

well...i was on seasonique the 4 periods a year pill...i only took it for about 6 months...been off it for about 3weeks...im going threw an insurance issue as well...my nipples are the same...i got stomach pains as well...nausea...i also have pain after sex in my side(near my overies)...also something I've noticed my unsightly hair is growing alot faster that when on the pill...i have had unprotected sex...4 some it may be the hormone imbalance and those of us having unprotected sex need to becare of our actions just in case we could be...so congrats...and good luck...and I hope we all get over this very soon.

I stopped my pill, the effects of coming of the pill are : irregular periods, stronger periods, sore nipples around ovulation and periods, weight gain and head aches...... well thats what ive experienced lol, ive been off it now for 4 mouths. hope this helps XD

I have been on birth control for about 2 yrs. well i ran out so i stopped takin it about a month and a half ago. Its not yaz... they recalled that on tv... but 4 days ago i had unprotected sex and he thinks he might have got me. i was suppose to start my period around the same time but i havent had it all month. yesterday (day 3) at night while i was workin my nipples were sooooo sore. hard, and painful. i have had alot of gas lately as well. what is my diagnosis?

i am just wondering if any of you have got your period yet? i have been off birth control since october 2010 and i still havennt got my period!! i took 2 at home pregnancy tests in early december and they were negative.. but i had sex again come christmas time and im unsure if the condom broke! it is now January 30 2011 and i still havent got my period. but the other night i had some cramps and ever since i have had hard and sore nipples. Early in the month i had brownish discharge for about 2 weeks... im only 17 and i am starting to freak out.. anyone have any advice?

Im experiencing the same as you guys, really sore/erect nipples. For about 2-3 weeks but I havent gone off of a birth control, about 3 months ago I got Implenon (the implant birth control) but the side effects listed never mentioned nipple tenderness, at least what I could recall. ?
