Sore erect nipples just stopped taking birth control

Could take a good cycle or two before pregnant being you stopped mid-month so systems probably really confused at the moment. Got my period like clock work yesterday :) but I stopped at the end of a pack. Good luck with the new baby.

I am 49 and stopped taking bc pills 2 weeks ago. My nipples are always erect and extremely sore. Also abdomen felt like I had done 100 sit-ups...so sore..soreness in abdomen is much better but nipples are horrible. Could it be from stopping the pill??

I just switched birth controle brands from ortho tri-cyclen lo to tri-sprintec due to insurance issues. I've had sore erect nipples for a month and nausea too.

Hi ladies,I'd just like to say that the sore and hard nipples Is caused by going off BC. The first time I went off BC and I had this symptom, I was also wondering what on earth was happening, and felt too awkward to even ask anybody about it. I've been on and off BC a couple times for various different reasons, and each time the nipple issue has presented itself. The good news is it should go away after a short while. If it lasts more than a month, I'd look further into it though.I've decided to go off BC completely for at least a year, in hopes that my body will sort itself out. I was taking Yas and Yasmin at different points in time, but both fail me now, and so sadly I'm currently experiencing the discomfort of even wearing loose shirts. :/So yeah... don't freak out! There's a long list of symptoms from going off birth control pills, but they'll eventually sort themselves out with time and effort in helping the recovery. I wish you all the best :)

I'm 24 and I have been on the Nuva ring for about 6-7 years and on birth control in general Since I was about 15 for regulate my periods recently in the past month starting having Lower back pain shooting into my left ovary area after taking the Nuva ring out. About a week later I attempted to put the ring back in and again the pain was instantly back. So I removed the ring and called the ob they didn't seem concerned with this. Still no period aboard 4-6 weeks later. Also ended up having sex and the condom was expired by 2 years I took the plan b and started having soreness in my breast and feel like my nipples are going to explode and are very erect. Both pregnant tests were negative. Has anyone had this issue?

Well ! Im having the same problem !! I got off Yaz and was searching for answers. I havent had sex ! So this solves a lot.. my nipples are also erect and extremely sore. :/ hope you teo feel better soon !

Hi. I came off the pill 12/12/14 and have recently had sore erected nipples that are sore to touch too! I don't know why this is but I am constantly hungry! I have had sex a lot over the festive period but hoping for good results. The pill has made me feel strange since I came off it. Not sure about the nipple thing tho. Deb x

Hi I am 43 and came off the pill on 11/24/2014, had sex when on inactive pills and haven't had a period since then. My last period was on 11/21/2014...it was light for 3 days.I had unprotected sex a few times since then.I feel hungry all the time and have gained weight.Been experiencing erected sore tender nipples since 2 days now. Someone told me its hard to get pregnant after 40 and body takes time to adjust to new hormonal changes.

GO TO THE DOCTOR ALL OF YOU! You could be pregnant and if you don't want to be this could be a problem! (yes even if youre 40+) PS pulling out does not always work... seriously ladies, THE DOCTOR CAN ANSWER ALL THESE QUESTIONS, IT IS NOTHING TO BE SHY ABOUT.

Gosh I think that's the problem I am facing as well.. the past couple of days, mine have been very sore and erect for no reason. So I looked it up and found these results of women who have stopped their birth control. I have been on birth control for a year and just recently stopped taking them because my prescription expired. I was happy to find the same symptoms because I was worried I might be pregnant (hopefully not) but we'll see.

There's no chance of me being pregnant but have just come of the pill and my nipple's are tender erect and itching I'm guessing its hormonal change after reading comments on here
