Spotted Bleeding...Am I pregnant?

Bleeding is not just a sign of pregnancy and bleeding two weeks after your period ended usually wouldn’t indicate pregnancy because this is the time ovulation takes place and the bleeding you heard about (called implantation) occurs 5-12 weeks after ovulation i.e. about 7 days prior to your next period.

This is of course if your periods are regular and your cycle lasts around 28-30 days.

Nobody but a gynecologist can say what the bleeding you experienced was. It could have been something transient but it could be also indicting an underlying problem like an infection maybe.

I suppose you are not using condoms and if this is the case, you are at big risk of catching an infection that could cause permanent scarring if not treated in time.

Another possible reason of such bleeding (according to your age) could be ovarian cysts that may form during ovulation. These cysts are harmless most of the time and subside on their own but in the meantime they can cause bleeding, interfere with your periods and cause pain.

If you experience unexplained bleeding one again, I would suggest you saw a doctor.

ok - so about 3 weeks ago i took a home pregnancy test and there was no denying it was positive. Unfortunately my doctor is always booked so i have an appointment in another week but lately have been spotting and its starting to really scare me....but last night after, excuse the bluntness, a roll in the hay with my boyfriend, the bleeding seems to be worse. I did alot of reading about miscarriages and besides the bleeding i do not have any of the other symptoms......has anyone else experienced this, should i be worried??? I am a pack of nerves right now and would appreciate any advice or personal experiences to help calm me down %-)

yes i have a 4 year old son, when i was pregnant i was scared to death of having a miscarriage several times, i always seemed to bleed, sometimes it was really heavy but it was fine obviouslly bc my son is now 4, active as can be lol, bu u shoulds till have it check out though.

I started my period on 10/20 and finished on 10/23. I also have a normal 28 day cycle. I also started back on the pill on the 23rd. My husband and I have been talking about having a child more and more recently and I stopped taking the pill on 10/1/11. We had unprotected sex on 10/27, 10/31, 11/1,11/2, 11/3, and 11/4. I have been having mid cycle bleeding from 11/2-11/4. It started off as brown spotting and on the 3rd and 4th it was red but only bad when I wiped. I did have to wear a pad. I am pretty sure this happened because I stopped taking my pill. What are the chances of me being pregnant now? Can I still get or be pregnant even though I had a few days of bleeding? I know I have to wait 2 more weeks before I can take a test but hopefully I'll know or show symptoms before then.

I have just come off the pill for good after being on it for 2 years and have spotted bleeding now. I had my last period a week before the spotted bleeding started. Do I need to be worried?
