Hi, I am a 23 and have been on the nuva ring as birth control for the past 3 years. For the past few months I have had kind of spotting instead of a real period. I Have been experiencing pain on the left side right by my hip bone. It is worse during sex and most the time I spot during or right after sex. I won't bleed the rest of the day or anything. It is always a gush and then it stops for the rest of the day. I am concerned that there might be something wrong but it is hard for me to get off work to go to the doctor. I was wondering if anyone has had something similar or if I really should go to the doctor. Does anyone have an idea of what it could be? I am in a committed relationship and have been tested for STD's since we have been together. All was clear. Any response will be appreciated.
