I'm 15 and just started taking BCP about 4 days ago for period relates reasons. (Not sexually active)
Just about two days ago though, I peed in the morning and it hurt. Then it tingles afterwards. Usually it only hurts in the mornings for awhile of time, but sometimes during the day when I pee it hurts for like 2 seconds. Anyways, I don't know what it could be!! I have never had history of UTI's or bladder infections or anything and I think it's weird that it's all happening after I started birth control.

I have never heard of birth control causing burning during urination before. It possibly could be a UTI. I would go see your doctor have them take a urine culture. It is common for woman to get Urinary tract infections. There are many causes for them as well. Also you don't have have to sexual active to get them as well.

this same thing is happening to me and i know that its because of the pill, because i started taking it and went to the doctors and they prescribed me with some medication to treat an UTI and i took all of the medication didn't miss a day and took it at the correct times... once i was done the meds it came back... so i went back to the doctor and got some more. they day i went to the doctor i stop taking the birth control and all of a sudden after a few days it stopped hurting, i know that it wasn't from the meds because my doctor told me not to take the pills until she contacted me confirming it was a uti, I'm not sure why some sites say its because estrogen helps with you bladder others have no clue...
