sticky mucus that mixes with my saliva, like glue.

I am experiencing a lot of similar symptoms to you all!I have had a tonsillectomy/turbinate reduction surgery to try and rectify these problems, to no avail. ENT's are useless as are GP's! I do not believe that globus pharynges is real, I do not suffer from anxiety and if I might seem anxious on presentation in the ENT's/GP's office, it is solely because I feel as though I am being suffocated all the time along with other seriously annoying and totally debilitating symptoms! AND....for the fact that there does not seem to be a cure! I have been suffering with this condition for years! I am not a hypochondriac and I am sick of being treated like one! My GP considers that GERD is the issue however, I feel as though it may be....the big C?!? I am at my wits end!

I am a 28 year old female, my weight is steady/normal, I am slim, I eat a healthy enough diet. When I was younger I drank alcohol a bit (however, not to a level that I would consider to be excessive).

My diet is as follows:

Routine

Zinc, Vitamin C, Echinacea supplements x1 per day (on the ENT's advice) to help build my enzymes for cellular function and overall health
Vitamin E supplement x2 per day - for stomach
Golden Seal supplements x3 per day - to aid digestion
Food: breakfast -weetbix, lunch, salad, dinner- chicken + rice
Drinking lots of water

Presenting symptoms:

Always clearing throat/excessive swallowing
Sore throats with painful swallowing (intermittent)
Difficulty swallowing
Excessive saliva (foaming of saliva)
Sensation of lump in throat (top of throat - a feeling of being strangled at top of throat) and sensation of lump in throat in the Adams apple area (however, cannot physically feel a lump with fingers)
Constant bad breath throughout the day- smells like faecal matter
Yellow coated tongue
Tonsil crypt on left hand side of throat
Lethargic/fatigued - constant
Hoarseness in voice/voicebox trashed
Red sore eyes (sunburnt feeling) - constant
Acid reflux
Slimy film inside of mouth/slimy coated teeth-enamel wearing away on front teeth
Chills -always feeling cold - constant
Sleep apnoea
Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction - clicking of jaw on left hand side
Post nasal drip - thick mucus

Possible Remedy...

Removal of lingual tonsils and revision palatine tonsils?
Barium swallow?
MRI/CT Scan/Ultrasound of neck - I have been begging GP's for this, however, have been advised an ENT must provide this on further investigation (I've been back and forth to ENT's for 2 years and this has not been recommended as I am assuming, they do not even suspect abnormalities/cancer following several endoscopies). I will see my ENT in two weeks and will try to request this but I suspect he will just say no...
Referral to Gastroenterologist?
Allergy testing?

Have previously taken:

Zantac and Nexium for Acid Reflux
Amoxicillin
Augmentin due forte
Nasonex
Thrush medication for yellow coated tongue
Saline solutions
Have been tested for nutrient deficiencies- vitamin deficiencies/minerals (Vitamin D, B12 & folate, zinc, magnesium, iron) & thyroid - (blood and urine tests), am awaiting test results yet suspect they will be normal
Have seen dentist recently, teeth and gums are healthy

If anyone out there can shed some light on the matter (i.e. provide me with some answers!), I would be most grateful! I sympathise with all of you fellow sufferers! How to survive a living hell!?! HELP!!

I am so sorry elise88. I have suffered with this horrible condition for the last three years. Mine started with a slight tingling sensation in my lower gum right after having my bottom teeth pulled for dentures. I have gone to see four different kinds of dentists, three different ear nose and throat guys and numorous other gps. I can't get an answer. They only tell me what I don't have. I have stopped short of having a biopsy. I have felt like I was choking literally to death at times. As a result I never swollow anymore unless I m eating or drinking. If I do I will surely become severely choked and strangled. It has ruined my life. I hate to sounds so discouraging but these are the facts of my life.:I hope that u find an answer to your problems and if you do please forward to me. Good luck!!!

I am so happy to Finally reply back to someone with a cure!!!! It helped me almost immediately!!! Go to cvs or walgreens and look for Paragone, it has this tincture bottle inside. Put 7-10 drops on your tongue, let it kinda marinate towards the back of your tongue for as long as you can (like 3 minutes is good) and then swallow it. You will be amazed!!! after prayers and more prayers for some healing, I finally got some healing!! it is simply a miracle!! I hope this works just as good. PLEASE let me know if this helps you.

fungal infection.  Ive had this for 10 years and it has done long term damage.  I've been to over 25 specialists and all think im crazy because their medical protocol, at closest, says thrush.  It is thrush, but the thrush is caused by a fungal infection.  a bad one.  fluconazole off and on for at least 6 months.  you will feel better in first week but it will take a very long term dosage to rid ur body of it.  exhausted all the time, dry sticky mouth to point you cant talk, swallow or breathe, nose totally clogged 24/7, ears clogged, headaches, eye pain, digestive problems, back pain caused by exhaustion, neck pain, nostalgia, cant think straight or at all, mental problems because the sh*t is everywhere, itchiness everywhere.  symptoms go on and on and on with one not being worse than other and all being terrible.  Do yourself a favor and go get rid of it, it will not go away, it will just get worse.  The only thing i will ever go to doctor for is my xanax.  I've developed a wicked case of anxiety and depression over 10 years of sickness.  but im regaining function slowly...slowly.  now, what to do with the rest of my screwed up life......fluconazole 150mg, 2 first day, 1 for 6 more days then everyother day for 3 to 6 months.  watch your liver/kidneys.  it will take a while to feel like yourself again

 

YES all the time, for 3 years,,,,,,,its nothing just a thrush,,,,,just a thrush,,,,,,,thrush my A** & my 24/7 totally clogged nose i have noticed 2x occasionally jump out of a sleep cause i just skipped a 10 seconds of breathing as i breathe with my nose when sleeping not my mouth & if they are blogged im screwed, otherwise im sorry as i do not have a solution but im drinking a (((((LOT OF WATER))))) it helps with my saliva

I had my top teeth pulled and after 2-3,months the glue like substance was unbelievable. I thought it was because the roof of my mouth was covered so got implants. No difference. This has ruined my life. 2 years of agony. I went to EMT testing me for auto ammune diseases now. Showgrens ?? RA I have no other pains but says these need to be ruled out. Perfect health perfect. This all happened when mt teeth got pulled. I can't live with a mouth of glue. This is beyond my own belief.

Oh my, I was just wondering if I was the only one with this (glue) problem. I have met one other person years ago, but she suddenly died of pneumonia, but she also was refusing to see a doctor. I have researched extensively into what could be causing this, and the only explanation that makes any sense is the Chemtrails. The amount of toxic products they are adding to our skies avery day and have been spraying we breathe those in and our respiratory system being designed to fight back will do just that, so we cough and spitt all the time. It was when I found out about the Chemtrail programs that I understood my illness. Good luck with this.

i am on the same boat. more than several years.

Phlegms are like gel, honey or glue. 

Mine is PND from allergy. Allergy medicines are not much helpful, but save me to help every day emergency situation....choking up, almost being drowned every day. Nasal sprays or Oral antihistamins seems only last 30 minnuts or so. For more than 4 months, I have tried extensively most any methods suggested on the internet including prescription medicines and OTC drugs. Nothing helped. Everyday I have some critical moments like being drowned by phlegms and glue-like flem closes down my throat. I don't care to visit doctors any more...i don't care for ER. Why do I spend more money for them, when they help nothing?

I do not want to die....but preparing for it...whatever.

 Just curious tracking how you guys get worse...how you are doing with this. Gimme your difficultiness score. Mine is usually 90-95 out of 100. (Maybe, this score is subjective, but over 90 means i feel life-threatening everyday)

Get yourself checked out for Eosinophilic esophagitis.

Try taking 2000 mg of Turmeric a day for 1 week... just try that to see if you notice a difference. Turmeric kills fungus.

Sadly I have very similar symptoms to you all and have been having them for years. I was at my boyfriends parents house in the hills. I got bitten by something not sure what but had massive itchy bite mark. Felt sick always cold and flu like symptoms. Then I got bitten again and was having anaphalactic symptoms until luckily I found steroids and Antihistimanes in their cupboard.my poor daughter was worried as we were alone and mummy was gasping for air barely moving... Went to bed. Woke up like 10 hrs later and my entire face neck and shoulders were covered in red itchy hives that looked like pimples. Couldn't see bite mark anywhere though... For next week could barely move, was freezing, fatigued, migraines, and flu like symptoms, skin took days to heal, had the most agonising abdomen pains and nausea, muscle aches and felt drained depressed and scared. I went home,life went on and I ended up getting pneumonia 3 times that year and influenza. I had an itchy spot on my boob and temple and arm and couldn't stop scratching or rubbing but the slightest touch made the skin break down feel gooey and was just gross. I went to the hospital three times 3 doctors whinged to my nurse mum and everyone thought I was mad. The doctors either presumed I was a junkie or needed a psychiatrist.

So I would spend nearly my whole pay on medications, soaps, creams etc trying to heal these three sores and try to stop wanting to claw my skin off as it was so damn itchy. Then among some more issues I developed so much pain in my nose,always snotty then raw and swollen from blowing so much.so blooming itchy too. And nothing helped no fungal no antibacterial cream no Antihistimanes nothing. I couldn't stand how disgusting I sounded or looked but worse I felt like I was drowing and plain couldn't breathe. But the pain from sores in my nose was unbearable... I went to my doc but he was away so they had a replacement,i begged for more antibiotics and he said no he could see no reason. Now by this stage it was over a year since the first of 3sores hadbcome up. They still were painful oozing and gross and I had to cover constantly. I had given up on whinging or even telling the truth about any symptoms as it was so draining never being believed or helped anyway. But antibiotics were the only thing that helped slightly at all, so when he said no I started arguing then bawling, I'm very reserved but I sobbed and howled and he assured me that he would listen and help. So after a year of agony, misery and doc appointments finally a doctor took wow a test! I had golden staff that's why I was so ill and nothing would heal.... He said anti fungal with an antibiotic and steroid (cortisone)is only effective treatment....sores healed within fortnight..... Now that was around 4 years ago... Since then I have never had the sores return but have 3 noticible scars... My hair which I absent mindedly pulled on during that time when I was so stressed sick and just felt helpless, hopeless, is still thin, so I always have extensions in to hide it. I'm tired, sick and in pain almost constantly but mostly nothing too severe. It is more the never ever relenting nature of it and not knowing why or where to turn.... It's giving up but not being able to ignore at least one thing. I can't bloody breathe. My nose is always always blocked full of snot or running. My perfect teeth are getting cavities.more in two years than the 27 prior put together. My nose always hurts. My throat feels like its half closed and glued. I cough up green mucus, thick white, ,yellow, etc. I have excessive frotthy white saliva I need to spit out all the time. My sinuses ache. They feel bruised and the pressure!!! I have headaches nearly always and migraines several times a week. I feel like I have the flu 24/7. I can't eat anything without severe cramps or nausea following. Every month or so its so bad I bleed and bleed then nothing all good. Nothing shows on tests... A lot of doctors seem lazy or too busy these days.... Only last week a new one actually looked at me and touched me during the appointment! To look in my ears, throat, listen to chest then once done once whim asked if he could look up my nose.... Turns out I have a giant hole in my septum! So scary to hear. Surgery only solution. And no I'm not into snorting coke... He thinks all the infections and inflammation and blowing and infection and a non existent immune system likely lead to it happening and that it would explain fatigue, pain, sinus issues, headaches, difficulty breathing, nausea, cramp, nasal drip,yuck mouth etc etc etc. Thus ticking off most of the main issues. I also have terrible bloating, have put on ten kilos plus in last year and prior to that been same weight for 15 plus years... I eet much less now.... I'm barely able to stay awake and function I'm so tired. My lower back and shoulders and neck are stuffed. But lately having sciatic type pain and numbness or pain in hands and legs on and off. My neck really hurts my glands are up.

I have been tested for glandular,hepitatis,hiv, lupus and all clear. They are still looking into chronic fatigue, my thyroid is only just on acceptable so no treatment will be given, but as so many symptoms consistent with thyroid problem they want me to have ultrasound on my neck. And it hurts and often feels swollen or like there is a lump. Visually nothing can be seen.

I need to see the ent and org surgery. I'm scared so been putting it off. Will like to see what else he thinks though. He is a professor and well respected in his field... I have past history of ovarian cysts. Previously had one that lead to massive internal bleeding, septicemia ,emergency surgery blood transfusions etc. I believe my health has been bad since then. I have had another miscarriage since then, have had an abnormal papsmear with the third type of abnormal cells present. (last possible precancerous stage) nearly three years ago, ,damn I am too good at putting things off.. Must address that... Have become claustrophobic and have ocd type rituals etc before I can go out regarding nose blowing ensuring not snotty or going to need to cough up infront of someone etc that often lasts too long, then I panic about eating my life away and wanting this to all be over etc etc until it's often too late to go anywhere anyway. Etc etc.

So I'm telling u the rest of my health issues so we can see is there are any recurring themes with us all. And to let u know what helped. To get swabs and have them look up your nose!!!! And I'll let u know what other specialist say once I finally see them. X

I have all your symptoms as well. I eat healthy, no added sugar very little if any alcohol. Been going on for 7 months ! Sorry to say this but inspect your feces, not just look at it in the toilet! Gloves and dissolve it to basically water do it gently. Then look for anything abnormal. From very small to 3-4 inches ! I've been fighting a parasite and a fungus with NO HELP from Dr's. Western medicine won't even go there ! If you even bring the subject up they'll look at you like ur nuts! I'm finally taking my aunt with me she's a nurse for 30 years. This stuff is trying to take over our bodies and it will create disease ! I've tried almost every method herbs garlic castor oil things improve yet always return ! I also have a growler in my stomach scary as hell !!! Hang in there. Oh and the poop test dr's give you always come up negative ! I did it 4 x! I have photos of the things which I showed dr. He was clueless or playing dumb. Labs only test for eggs!!! I'm going to pay out of pocket and go see a gastroentologist sp? Do you have small white pieces of what looks like skin ? If so that's larvae!!! The throat makes mucus to protect itself so parasite or not something is off ! Good luck

I have the same problem. IT IS GOING AWAY. I have been drinking a ton of kombucha tea. I drink almost a gallon a day. It has almost become addicting. My kombucha only ferments for about four days because I drink so much of it. However, my mucus problem is going away. I can sleep now and the mucus has much more liquid. Originally, I would almost have to pull the skin off to remove the mucus. Now, I can blow my nose. I feel passages opening up. It feels as if the passage was clogged with glue and the glue is being diluted to the point that oxygen is enough to clear it.
