I have the same problem. IT IS GOING AWAY. I have been drinking a ton of kombucha tea. I drink almost a gallon a day. It has almost become addicting. My kombucha only ferments for about four days because I drink so much of it. However, my mucus problem is going away. I can sleep now and the mucus has much more liquid. Originally, I would almost have to pull the skin off to remove the mucus. Now, I can blow my nose. I feel passages opening up. It feels as if the passage was clogged with glue and the glue is being diluted to the point that oxygen is enough to clear it.

I have been having the same issues. I went to see an allergist. They did testing and nothing showed up. He told me salt would be my friend until this cleared up. I use a bottle or you can use a neti pot in the morning and night, make sure you use distilled water. I make my own saline the kind in the package is to strong. He also has me taking mucinex in the blue box that is an expectorant only. He suggested I try salt therapy. I am going to try it next week. Keep you posted. I am feeling better and things are loosening up after 6 days.

It's September 20, 2016.

I am still drinking a gallon of kombucha per day. In the past month, most of the mucus has gone away. A couple of times it was very liquid. It just ran down out my nose. I took vitamin B3 and it stopped within two days. I feel that it should be gone within a month.

I have had this problem for almost a week now. I I grabbed a cabob. Those skewers that you use to barbecue meet and picked at the back of my throat. I found that behind my uvela where the skin comes down to create a seal from you sinus and your throat had a white looking paste that when moved away looked like skin or a callous being removed. I have now leaner that a butter knife a bright light and a mirror let's me scrape much of it away. The back of my throat was really tender the first couple times but has now started to become less irritated by using a butter knife on it.
But to describe the feeling would be like at first when you accidently swollow food wrong and you can feel it up there and you have to wait until you can either blow it out or spit it out. It goes from there to I can't swollow. The skin behind the uvela is glued to the back of my throat. If I try to swollow I choke.
After every time I scrape though I gargle very salty water. Like a double dose to keep from an infection.
I take humira and that weakens my immune system. I have seen a couple poats about a fungel problem. This makes sense as I am more prone to that now.
So next step is a culture of the mucus. I am now thinking that yeast could be the culprit. Think about it for a moment. Mucus has a semi normal consistency and ph. What would be there that would be mixing with it to make it thicker and like glue. Yeast is a likely answer. But I will leave my email here in case some one comes across this and would like to ask me if I found a solution.
I amean fortune and have free very good medical care. If this persists for another 2 days then I will go see my doctor. But until then I am going to try lowering my ph by periodically please drinking apple cider vinegar and honey. And supplement electrolytes and potassium with potatoes. Better then bananas. But a more acidic ph changes the consistency or duration of the mucus and that's a very positive sign.

Please feel free to ask me questions or make suggestions. I am in no way a medical doctor or trained to treat illnesses. But I am fairly smart and that helps. Either way I don't take responsibility for any harm that could arise from ignorance to your body's equilibrium. If you don't know then ask! The shame is having to fix the mistake you made by not asking!!

I'm exactly the same. It's worse mornings. It's like syrup thick and sticky. I have to cough it up and spit it out but it just keeps on coming. The cough seems to get worse when I get to hot. All this started after having a chest infection 3weeks ago. Avoid fizzy drinks as I found that makes the saliva even stickier

What you have is called Thrush, it's an overgrowth of yeast on your tongue.
In most cases Thrush is a symptom of another underlying ailment.
It's a big problem with AIDS patients and others with a compromised immunity system. Normally our healthy bodies would repel Thrush with antibodies, so you may have an immune disorder.
You will not be able to kill Candida with anything natural or homeopathic treatment. You need prescription medication to clear up the Thrush and have a doctor check you for any immunological disorder.

Not all mucus that you cough up originates from your sinuses, your lungs produce mucus too!

My sticky mouth comes from the glue used to attach a new cap onto my tooth. First glue previously used caused my tongue to be stuck to the roof of my mouth every morning upon waking. Also sore throat. Went away after 6 mo. Tried a new glue with last cap and had terrible taste and woke up with extremely dry mouth =zero saliva. . After 6 months I started having saliva but now feels like sticky glue in my mouth. Gets stickier every day. My dentist is a friend and tries but I'm too sensitive to metal and glue in my mouth. May be looking forward to dentures. Another acquaintance is having glue mouth from a disc implant on her neck that involved glue.

What I meant to say is YOU have a food allergy to probably Dairy products. You can check this by eating a limited diet for about 1-2 weeks. A limited diet is items like salad, steamed vegetables and meats like chicken, turkey, or fish. Eat slow in SMALL bites and CHEW very very well before swallowing. Mucus is always a reaction to an allergen. Sounds like you allergy is the metal and the glue but could also be what I mentioned above as far as FOOD allergies. Also during the 2 weeks do not use mouthwash or toothpaste just brush with your toothbrush. Also drink lots of water. Good luck!

Definitely this is caused by an imbalance between good bacteria and yeast or even mold. To fight this overgrowth takes a lifestyle change. This means eating healthy. No SUGAR! Sugar just feeds the bad guys. This includes anything sweet, such as yogurt or fruit. Eat a clean diet of vegetables, salad, eggs, lean meats. It may seem boring but give this a try for a few weeks. Drink lots of water. Again this includes no bread, crackers, potatoes, corn, oat, and any other carbs. Take lots of probiotics to replace the bad guys with the good guys. There ARE natural remedies for Candida.
