That is exactly what I've been feeling! It is such a horrible feeling and try to explain it....you know that feeling when you go in for a operation and you start to go under...completely as if you are drugged and as if something is trying to pull you into unconsciousness...would also like to know what that is as it can be quite disturbing at times...is it high/low blood sugar or blood pressure?

I went to see a neurologist for symptoms like these. I had an Mri, Sleep Study and 72 hour EEG.. The doctor thinks I have what is called Occipital Neuralgia. Its a nerve that gets irritated and can cause these type of symptoms. Nothing to really worry about I just hope he's right.

I have Occipital Neuralgia as well, diagnosed by two different neurologists. A little over 5 years since original diagnosis. I have constant headaches. No medication they prescribe helps. I take Advil, lots of Advil every day. I was just researching today because I had a really strange feeling come over my entire head. This was different than any other episodes. It was not the telltale electric like zap up the side of my head behind my ear. This was different and scary, it came out of nowhere and it was quick. Felt like I was going to shut down or pass out.

I have these super strange sensations also, and when I get them it’s like a weird flush throughout my head down to my toes. Then I get scared and I have heart palpitations. There is this weird panic that happens that doesn’t feel like worry but feels like I have to jump up and do something to keep from passing out. I can be sitting doing nothing or simply try to find my homework ....

Hi...I am from Assam , India... I had something like this. BELIEVE me you might not had like me. I am in class 11 now . In class 6 I suffered from Jaundice for almost 3 months. Direct jaundice for 1 month and then indirect jaundice for 2 months. At that time in middle of my sleep my sleep suddenly breaks. As usual I go to toilet to urinate. And come back. But I then start to feel some weird brain sensations. Like my head became flat and squeezed to the floor. It hard to explain. 4 to 5 times a week. At that time doctors said it is die to anxiety related to mu unusual long jaundice.
But even after being fully cured of the disease . I kept feeling this for several years. At first once a week, once a month, then once a few months, then once a year. Now I no longer feel that. Last time I felt was 3 to 4 years back.
One thing more, may be with you, the feeling fades away after a few minutes . My mother used to bottle water on my head?
