I am 44 years old and have had irregular periods but in the last 6 months I have only had 2. Then in the middle of the night last night...I woke up with bad cramps...tried to get to the restroom. I felt blood gush out of me. It has been 3 months since I had a period so I thought it was just I was starting but once I laid back down and then got up this morning...there was nothing...no cramps and no blood. I am prone to bad periods with large clots. I haven't been too worried about missing a couple of months but now with just a 5 minute gush and then nothing...I am wondering if it is something I should worry about. Has anyone had something like this happen?
