I am on birth control and typically have 6-7 day periods. I started my period as usual... light the first day, heavier the next two, but then it suddenly dropped out of the picture and never returned. Instead, I have had thicker mucus-like discharge with slight brown color. Is this more likely to be a weird period, or could I be pregnant??? I am taking pregnancy tests and so far they are negative, but I am worried it just is too early to tell. Someone please help!!!!

Once you are on your period, a preganncy test is accurate! You are most likely NOT PREGNANT, but thanks to the birth control you expereinced a shorter period.

Birth control has the advantage of making a womans periods both shorter and lighter, and most women love this side effect. It is 100% normal for birth control to make your periods lighter, but taking a pregnancy test never hurts..just in case.

I beleive short periods that drop out suddenly are indicative of thyroid disorders, have you gained weight are you more tired, if it continues get your thryoid tsh checked along with thyroid antibodies. to see if there are any issues.
