So, I have had similar issues with burning, itching and pain and had a bunch of tests done to no avail. I discovered that I am allergic to a chemical in some toilet papers (scotts and seventh generation are fine, a chemical in some laundry detergents (keep trying natural ones until you find one that works, and goats/sheeps milk (including feta/goat cheese)... but not cows milk. Some foods can cause allergic reactions down there that take on an appearance similar to BV or yeast... allergies can differ person to person but forms of dairy are likely culprits.
A naturalist doctor recommended I try a no dairy/no wheat diet as she believes this is all caused from leaky gut syndrome due to a dairy and gluten intolerance... not allergy... for 2 months and then slowly introduce items back in to see what my body can handle. Supposedly leaky gut syndrome can cause your body to react to more. Just additional food for thought... I had to figure a lot of this out on my own because doctors go straight to STDs /infections and in my experience do not often think outside of the box. This cost me so much money, and they didn't even supply any answers... hours of scouring the internet and trying different solutions did.
Hope this helps someone else. Ive been so much better for almost a year now minus when I've accidently eaten feta. Also, sterile lidocaine jelly is a lifesaver when you're in pain.. get a dr to prescribe it :)

So. This was a year ago. Anyone still reading this. Here's the answer.
Pay attention in high school sex Ed. Don't worry. No one did.
NEVER TRUST ANYONE WHO SAYS THEY'RE A VIRGIN. EVER. Hi. They want to have sex. They'll tell you what you want to hear. I've only had sex with 3 ppl. And it was 25.
Glad that's out of the way.
Masturbating can cause irritation. Sucks. Vibrators can get too hot, constant rubbing causes irritation.
Itch and bumps are different. Sometimes they can be pimples, clogged gland or herpes.
Don't self medicate. Get your embarrassed self to the OBGYN. No one likes going, but they will know what you have! And mostly likely will treat it. And they don't judge. And it's illegal for them to release your medical records once over age 18. Your parents don't have to know. Go to Planned Parenthood if it's cheaper, but it might not be.
Oral sex? This is one way to get herpes. It might never show up. Then you get sick and have a cold sore. Cold sores by the mouth are the herpes virus. One is from sex, the other is not. Which one you have? Only the doc can tell you.
Discharge doesn't always smell bad to indicate a problem.
PS if you have a yeast infection your discharge smells like bread (why it's called yeast) and tends to be white with clumps.
All women get yeast infections at some point. If you want to cut down your chances. Take one Phillips probiotic a day, works better than yogurt.
Everyone is embarrassed when they're young. Please never look up symptoms. It will cause super anxiety. Just go to the one person who knows best. Your doctor. If you don't like seeing a male gynocologist? You don't have to! If your practice has a female, switch. Or ask (call them) your regular doctor for a recommendation. You don't need to tell them why. Just say my yearly checkup is coming up, I'd feel more comfortable seeing a woman. Who can you recommend?
It will be okay.

Skip any doctor that never went to med school. Look for MD.
You don't have to tell people your having sex, but the first thing a mom or grandma will tell you is soap & detergent. It's free advice!
Dreft detergent is for babies. It's fantastic. (Tide make a clear one now)
Find the bar "soap" called Cetaphil, or liquid. Every dermatologist will tell you to use this. It's not a soap because it has no detergents. But I just call it soap.
Get tested for food sensitivities. Take a Phillips probiotic. Your insurance will pick this up if you go to an allergist. Naturalist might tell you the same. But. Again. MD. And FYI some people with no medical degree can prescribe. Like eye doctors & dentists. Don't let that throw you off.
Desitine in the baby section works better than lidocaine.
See. All stuff from MD doctors or mom.

Aw. It could be a gland that's clogged. Or a pimple. Both hurt bad. I know you might feel embarassed, but your OBGYN doc can fix this within seconds. Hang in there.

This sounds like a snow suit that was rubbing while skiing that you might not have noticed. Go to the baby section in a store and buy Desitine.
Yeast infections are burning, itchy and have clumpy or thick discharge that actually smells like bread. It's called a yeast infection for that reason.
You'll be okay kiddo. Xo
