It sounds like you have bacterial vaginosis. Sometimes it can be confused with having trich.

I had the same pain for months. It ended up being from a bacteria infection called ureaplasma.

It also could be foods you eat. Or the menstrual products you use. Like disposable tampons or pads. Birth control also can cause it.

It sounds like a bacterial infection. If so, they will need to prescribe a special antibiotic and cream. Follow the directions or it will not work. I used it like the doctor said and it healed! Good luck!

I have BV. This may sound weird but one thing that helped with the excruciating pain was to get a clove of garlic and rub it on my clitoris and lips.

I don't know if this will help all of you but I have noticed that since I have been sleeping naked, I have zero itching. I had read somewhere that bacteria builds up and sleeping nude helps dry that up. Worth a try for some who are desperate.

Hey did you ever figure this out? The exact same thing happened to me. Its called a Fixed Drug Eruption. The first time it happened it took a day for the swelling to start after taking the bactrim. I too was treated for a yeast infection and tested for everything under the sun. Everything was negative and I was prescribed a million antibiotics and oxycodone for pain. I used a syringe to squirt water on myself when I peed to dilute the urine. Never figured out it was the bactrim. Until this week took it again for a UTI and literally 20 min later Intense nerve tingling and labia swelling. I took Benadryl because it was clearly an allergic reaction and have been applying hydrocortisone topically. I went to my NP yesterday and she said it looks like this is a fixed drug eruption. Look it up. Especially common with bactrim and the allergic reaction is usually in the mouth and genitalia. I also have weird sores in my mouth. Not sure if you had that. Anyway it's so uncommon! But it sounds like what you had too! I'll give you my email if you want to talk more!
