I woke up to pains and a swollenness under both my armpits. I am a 35 year male with no bad medcial history. I don't drink, take drugs or even take perscribed medicines. I did not do anything strenuos. I want to know if I should go to the emergency room now or wait till the morning for a doctor's appointment?

Did you ever find out what it was? I have the same thing happening in my left armpit now. It just started a little while ago. it feels like I spilled something sticky on the hairs and they are being pulled out, but they are clean. There is a small painful bump. I am active and I go to the gym all the time. I am not sure what this is.

I hope that you have resolved your problem whatever it was.
Once something similar has happened to my girlfriend and afterwards we have find out it was allergic reaction to my shaving foam. She was in the bathroom and she started with her “removing hairs ritual” but she has spent all of her products so she has grab my shaving foam instead. Half an hour after she has finished with “removing hairs ritual” she started to feel some swelling under her armpits.
As both of us got really scared, we went to the emergency room right away. Fortunately it was only allergic reaction to some ingredient in my shaving foam. But you can imagine how scared both of us were.
