I got a yeast infection last week - first in like 20 years! My I did forget how painful they are! I used monistat cream once and everything down there was burning and the itching was unbearable but I refrained. Last night I ventured down and everything felt real swollen.

I am having all of what you gals experienced and it wasn't this bad before I took the fluconazole. I actually got a prescription before symptoms were even noticeable to be proactive, and it worsened... For those who are sexually active and haven't had an exam to confirm that it's a yeast infection it could be trichomoniasis... Same symptoms...

I have personally had my fair share of yeast infections and now I'm 35 weeks pregnant and have been to urgent care quite a bit and even the OBGYN and while your pregnant they said its not safe to take diflicon. They kept putting me on the creams and none of them have worked for me. So as I was getting frustrated thinking what am I gonna do I looked up a bunch of home remedies to get rid of a yeast infection. So I tried coconut oil 100 pure unrefined kind. I have been using it for 4 days now and it healed me of my yeast infection it started working immediately. It has been one of the best treatments I've used so far along with taking 2 probiotics everyday. I recommend this stuff highly its all natural and 100 percent safe. Hope this helps

Is it reoccurring with this new partner? Or you
Always had this issue? If it's just with the new partner you both need to be checked for bv, and stds asap.

Monistat 3 will help with the swelling and other symptoms, you can get it at the drugstore. I had bad swelling with my infection and it took it away.

Oh My GOD!! I am currently suffering from this excruciating condition. Am I in hell? I've been doing the pill, creams, everything suggested by the gyno.. The past 2 days I have been walking around like I just got off an extreme horseback ride. It has felt like needles and razors everytime I move. My situation has since swelled up and burned SOO bad I thought I was going to throw up and pass out at the same time. This was of course after I applied the recommended Desitin cream.. Take my advice, Do NOT use that! What saved my life was sitting in a cool epsom salt soak in the bath and applying coconut oil after, then cold pack. I think I'm going to die if this doesn't subside. I honestly dont think I can even get myself back to the doctors office. Will it ever go away? And god bless all you woman in this same postition.

I have a hypersensitive body when it comes to pretty much anything with scents or perfumes. I had the same issue and got yeast infections all the time. While you wait to see your gyno, you could try switching laundry detergent to a “free and clear” option, switch your body wash to “plain dove” (make sure your partner is also using this because they come into contact with your body too), don’t wear tight underwear, or lace, spandex, etc. underwear, and continue as you’re doing and stay away from scented feminine products. I experienced swelling and burning and got tested for STI’s and yeast infections and it was all negative, so my gynecologist suggested those things for me. The vagina is very sensitive and some people have hypersensitive bodies, like me, and even the smallest thing can set off a reaction. If you’ve treated for yeast infections and it still hasn’t cleared up, and you’ve waited to have sex, then maybe it’s just a reaction to something your body is coming into contact with. My gynecologist also suggested that when treating for a yeast infection the best one to use is the 7 day treatment because it isn’t as “harsh” as the others and the infection will go away and your body shouldn’t have any adverse reaction to it. If none of these things help than it could be an entirely different infection, and your best option is to go in and get tested. I hope this helps a little! :)
