I am have sever tailbone pain when standing for long periods of time or doing exstainuse work, such as working in the yard, vaccuming, general long periods of cleaning. The pain gets so bad I have to sit or lay down. I have mentioned this to my doctor and he just skims over the subject. I asked for a MRI, X-ray, or Ulta Sound he said he didn't see where that would be nessary. I am 5'4" and I weight 140 lbs. Could you please give me some idea of what I have and what I should do.

Thank you

See another doctor and ask for an x-ray. Or you can go back to your doctor and demand to get an x-ray. After all, you're paying for it. However, you may want to see another doctor that won't skim over the issue.

If they find nothing wrong with your tailbone, I suggest trying a chiropractor. You may have a subluxated spine that, when doing work, puts extra pressure on your lower back and tailbone. This may assist with the pain.
