I'm type 1 diabetic which has never been under control no matter how much I try. I've been taking 150mg lyrica for 6 weeks now for diabetic neuropathy. It really seemed to help at first. Was able to sleep thru the night. Now it's causing insomnia and I am one week late one my period. My mences are always every 28 days. I'm not pregnant at all either. I've also gained 19lbs in 6 weeks. At first I was ok with the weight gain as I've always been small and it's almost impossible for me to gain. This is getting ridiculous. No more lyrica for me. Hope these issues reside with stopping. Please don't take this medication. I no longer feel like me

When Lyrica first came out I was taking 200 mg twice a day for my fibromyalgia and I stopped having a period all together and they did blood work and everything and said that I was postmenopausal and I was only twenty-three at the time so they said it was because of the fibromyalgia well I take Lyrica for 6 years and when I came off of it I finally started having a period again!

I am on 600mg of Lyrica - 300mg twice per day. I no longer have a period. I used to have my period like clockwork every month. I have not had a period in over a year. My case is also very complicated and I take a butt load of additional medications, so I don't know which (if any) may be causing this issue.

I have been on Lyrica since 2006 - I was missing my period - had surgery and went off the Lyrica and my period came back. I went back on the Lyrica and my period stopped. I did this with taking a low dose of 50mg and my period came back. Since being on 100mg, I do not have my period. I really wonder if this is causing other problems as well. My doctor said it was not a side affect but not to worry about taking Estrogen because Lyrica was doing the job. I also noticed it helps with the Tinnitus and seems to be helping with depression.

I was on Lyrica for 6 months in 2019 and my period completely stopped. At that time, I thought it was the beginning of menopause. After discontinuing Lyrica, my period resumed. Now, 3 years later, I am back on Lyrica and my period has stopped again. Some websites have added “Absence Of Menstrual Periods” as a less serious side effect of pregabalin.
