I just suffered through this as well. I can't believe there are posts going back to 2008; this should have been pulled off the market as far as I'm concerned. Even if only 2% of people experience a bad reaction, that number is still way too high for them to keep selling it. This was the worst, most painful experience of my life. I figured I would add my story to hopefully give some consolation to other victims who find this thread, as I found this thread helpful when I went through this.
Like many others in this thread, I used a Trojan Ultra-thin Spermicidal condom. I normally buy the regular, non-spermicidal ultra-thin Trojans, but I grabbed the wrong box (same color box with minor differentiation, and in fact I noticed at the pharmacy I bought it at later that the spermicidal and non-spermicidal ultra-thins were mixed in together back-to-back on the shelf, which is scary). I used two condoms before this incident, surprisingly, without painful urination. I noticed a soreness on the head of my penis during and after sex, but I figured it was because they were a little tighter than usual, or that it was just some fluke.
The third time I used one, the pain was worse than the first two times during sex and something just didn't seem right. This was at about 7:00 am on Wednesday (about 48 hours ago). When I pulled out, the head of my penis felt like someone had just hit it with a hammer or something. I think the position we were in may let more of the N9 into my urethra than the first two times. I went to go pee, and as soon as one drop came out I shouted "f**k" completely involuntarily and was hit with blinding pain and almost dropped to the floor. The worst pain I've felt in my life - a 10/10 for sure. Even after urinating, the tip of my penis and the underside of my head still hurt for about five minutes.
Over the next five hours, I would occasionally try to pee only to be met with the same excruciating pain. I had sex first thing in the morning before I had time to pee, so I hadn't peed since the day before. I was starting to worry that I would have to hold it in for so long that I would get a bladder infection, so I made an appointment to consult a doctor at 3:30 (earliest i could get). I discovered this thread, and read all nine pages. Based on recommendations, I went to the store to buy Azo, hoping that would help. I'm glad this worked for some of you, but sadly it did not work for me. It may have dulled the pain down a little, down to an 8 or 9 on the pain scale, but it was far from a miracle. I was really starting to worry about my bladder to the point where, just an hour before my appointment, I was considering going to an ER to get a catheter put in or something, but I went to the doctor's office early hoping I could be seen earlier and thankfully I was seen at about 3:00. They checked me for a UTI (and, of course, I struggled in the bathroom for about ten minutes to get more than five drops of urine), and the doctor told me to take Ibuprofen and try peeing in a tub of water. She said a catheter might cause even more irritation.
I left the doctors office feeling unsatisfied ("Take some Advil." Classic.) I went home and thought f**k it, I'm going to pee. At a certain point, the pressure and discomfort of a full bladder became too much. I got on my knees in front of the toilet because it was more comfortable than standing, put a towel in my mouth to bite onto, and peed through the pain. Razor blades and lava trickled slowly out of my urethra. But then I was free (at least until I had to pee again). This was at about 4:30. I decided I would try to go all day without peeing and avoid drinking anything, in hopes that the pain would be better the next day, and then drink a ton of water to flush it out. At about 10:00 pm I had to pee again, though, and i couldn't fall asleep until I emptied my bladder. Still just as painful. But I could sleep, now.
The next day I had to pee when I woke up. Hopefully, I thought, the pain wont be as bad after sleeping it off. So, at about 7:00 am (24 hours later) I went to pee again. Still painful, but down to about a 7. The rest of the day, I drank a ton of water. Glass after glass after glass. I also limited my diet to alkaline fruits and vegetables (you can find charts that show which ones are more alkaline on Google). When I peed again at about noon, the pain was down to a 6. However, this time, the urine flowed out much stronger and with a fuller stream, unlike previous times where it just tricked out. I suspect this helped clear my passage of chemicals. I peed several more times over the course of the day as a result of drinking so much water, and each time it get better. Finally, by 7:00 pm (36 hours later), the pain was down to a 3. I peed again at about 10:00 or 11:00 and it was down to a 2. Now it just felt like getting pricked with a needle at the tip of my penis.
This morning, I woke up and had sex (with some hesitation...) thinking that the alkalinity of semen wouldn't burn as much and might help really clean the pipes. (I used a Durex condom as a "f**k you" to Trojan). This was about two hours ago (48 hours later). Sadly, when I came, I felt the "pin prick" feeling, but I really do think the semen helped clear the urethra out. When I peed afterwards, it almost felt like a normal urination. I just felt a twitch - a 1/10 pain. I'm hoping it is totally back to normal but the end of today. So that's my story.
Summary:
I'm sorry, you poor soul, but this is going to hurt for a while. Brace yourself. Drink a lot of water and eat alkaline fruits and vegetables to reduce the acidity of your urine and flush out your system. The only comfort I can give you is that it won't last more than 2 days.
Pain timetable:
Immediately after: 10/10
12 hours later: 8 or 9/10
24 hours later: 7/10
36 hours later: 3/10
48 hours later: 1/10

Update from previous post:
I just peed again at 3:00 (56 hours after the incident) and experienced a normal urination with no pain at all. Back to a 0/10.
Finally back to normal.
I really think the best thing to do is reduce the acidity of your urine and then pee as much as you can to flush out the chemicals. It hurts, a lot, and there's no way to avoid the pain, but the sooner you flush out your urethra the better. I would not advise using tap water to flush it out; as others have pointed out, this lead to worse problems. If anything, like someone else suggested, try to get a doctor to flush it out with a sterile liquid. Avoid acidic foods, eat mostly fruits and vegetables, and drink a lot of water to dilute your urine, and this should take some of the sting out. And try Azo; it can't hurt, it's only like $9, and while it didn't work for me, it might work for you.

This happened to my boyfriend today and we have the solution!!! Mix 1 tablespoon in baking soda in 1.5 cups of water --we used cold Brita water--put in a bottle. At first we used a squirt bottle to get in down into his penis, then he just held the bottle with a smaller opening--like bottled water --he held it up to his penis to let the baking soda water drip in there. He felt better after only like 30 min to 1 hour of this baking soda treatment. He also has peed since and had just a little burning but it is better now. Baking soda can neutralize the acid from the urine so we figure that is the solution. It is also a gentle treatment that should have no negative side effects. I am a practicing PhD research scientist so trust me here people!!!!!
By the way---ladies!!??? Where are are you!!??? All the posts I see here are from the men. If your guy's manhood is in serious pain you need to play an active role in helping him out!!

I've never been more afraid to take a leak after having this same thing happen to me. Even after almost two days, my body has learned to hold off on urinating as long as possible to avoid the excruciating pain. And the business about this only affecting 2% of people is ridiculous and insulting, I've used hundreds of these same condoms in the past with no problems, and now all of the sudden I get this horrendous burning pain when urinating after sex? I suspect the quality control was cut even further to save money along with using a different, untested formula for the spermicidal lubricant. I'm also to the point of using the pull out method exclusively for birth control to keep my penis safe from all these garbage products being offered by big companies like Trojan that only care about the bottom line.

Thanks, I will try.
Also peeing straight upward seems to feel much better than the normal downward flow. Kinda messy, but worth the relief.

Hello, it's been half a decade since the original post and this problem is still happening! This happened to my boyfriend last night, and THANK GOD we found this thread.
To anyone who checks back to this thread or newcomers who have used Trojan Ultra Thin Spermicidal Lubricant Condoms, tear off the bottom flap of the box and write your complaint to the address listed.
Not sure if they will care, but one can hope, especially if numerous people are filing complaints.

This is exactly what happened to me. Two nights ago, I had sex with my girlfriend and first experienced the pain towards the end. Went to the bathroom afterwards and pretty much pissed razor blades. Went to the ER yesterday morning, because I thought I had a UTI or kidney stone. Both tests came back negative and they gave me Pyridium for the pain. The stuff works really well until the pain passes.
