It sounds like some kind of fungal infection like jock itch maybe or even contact dermatitis. Is there are redness, flakiness, or any other symptoms?
I would see a dermatologist if I were you!

Hi Barry - I'm from New Zealand. I think I have the same problem as you.
But in my case it itches around my pubic hair, down the shaft of my penis & my testicals - drives me f..... crazy.
One part there I thought I had crabs or scabies so I used Malathion Lotion for a few days - The itch came back.
Today I ran a hot bath & put Detol in it - When I got in - Man it stung like hell. Any way I used a non perfumed soap called Dove & gently washed the area for a good 10 - 15 minutes. Dried off & applied Calamine Lotion around my pubic hair, penis & testicals.
Honest - the itch has gone.
Give it a shot man - read the instructions on the bottle.
I'm one of those guys who puts nice smelling perfumes on around my private parts etc.
I was told not to do that any more - Non perfumed petrolium jelly or vaseline was recommended instead.
Be careful with soap powders & perfumes.
Good Luck Dude.

I get the same issue only it goes away and always comes back. I use this cream the doctor gave me and even that doesn't really heal it fast. I was thinking it was herpes in the simplest form. But im very careful. and from the moment i got it til now i have only been with one person. and im really sure that she is not cheating around either, what your opinion on that. Im more than sure that she is not cheating.

I can't stand when someone says don't or stop scratching- this isn't no regular itch, it's so dry and is very persistent as in it doesn't pass- I'll scratch till my fingers are full of blood and the dry skin flakes like snow when I scratch it's the only relief I can get- I've tried over the counter everything and even prescribed creams and nothing - in fact it only adds to the problem- the gold bond medicated lotion gives relief for an hour while scratching gives relief for about four- I've lasted days without scratching fighting a horrible urge and the itch only intensifies- and finally when I break down and scratch it is orgasmic like neurons exploding in my central nervous system I damn near lose the use of my legs- I've been checked out by more than one doctor ( never a dermatologist.... I am making an appointment though ) and it's not an STD or an STI nor is it contagious- a couple have said eczema and I've bought every lotion, cream, and spray one can get- I've tried home remedies and more with no good results so I'm inclined to say it's not eczema or it's a freaking super strain and this is torture downright misery when it itches- the only true relief I get is when I give in to the itch and scratch away and it feels so good until I'm done - when I'm done the itch is gone and I'm left feeling relief but I have bloody chunks dug out of my flesh- and there is like three concentrated areas that cause the itching-I cannot wait until I see a dermatologist- he will get all of the evidence and samples of skin he needs because I won't leave until we have a master plan that guarantees a positive result- anything else will result in scheduled laser surgery - and I will be rid of it one way or another

Hi. I'm Matthew. I experience that same issue. I just apply a palm full or 2 Of corn starch and within a few hours I feel it starting to kick in.
