Hi, So i've had this cyst on my upper right testicle for roughly 5 years. When I first discovered it I got it checked out and the doctors said i did not have to worry, fast forward 3 years and I started feeling pain in the general area which went away after a couple months. Fast forward to today and the pain has returned for the past 7-8 months and I've discovered I can almost eliminate it by having no intercourse of masterbation for a few days. I unfortunately am a 23 year old male and at this point in my life this problem is affecting me physically mentally and psychology as I have begun avoiding relationships and such because of it.
The pain almost seems like it radiates out, not so much from the cyst itself but from behind it. i've been checked with ultrasounds for epididymitis and tears etc and had blood/urine work done. which all turned up negative.
My hopes of it simply going away like the first time are dwindling and Im not sure if I should look into getting the cyst removed as Im worried this may not solve the problem and could potentially make it worse with scar tissue. I also should mention that Ive had some relatively bad back pain over the past year through a couple workout related injuries and just in the last couple months gotten into yoga which has helped the back pain quite a bit but not so much the groin.
The groin pain also gets worse depending on the intensity and length of time of intercourse. I also would consider myself a chronic masterbator before this problem. Probably masterbating 2-4 times a day for a few years. I did however take nearly a month of any masterbating/intercourse and it came back.
If anyone has had a similar problem or any information they would like to share about what my possible problem could be that would be greatly appreciated. Im scheduled to see a urologist, ( not til february however) and any insight would be greatly appreciated.
