Thick & Rough Oatmeal. Oh-my-god-good. Really. You.must.try.
Also, I am now 7 days post-diet-coke. Yay for me.

Is think and rough a brand name or is that just the way you cook it? I need to get back on my oatmeal kick since I gave up kid's cereals for the MC.

The Silver Palate is the brand, and it's called Thick & Rough on the box. It's so great. The oats are NOT shaved super thin like Quaker, so it stays nice, it doesn't get all gooey and pasty. It's really delicious. The best of oatmeal, you'll love it. If you can't find it in your grocery store it's gettable (a word?) online.

Never heard of it, and I don't think our local stores carry it. Sounds interesting though

Thanks! <-- I love him.
Anyhow, see revision above... what makes this oatmeal different and better is that the oats are full and large and still have their flavor... they are NOT cut really thin so they turn to mush... they stay solid and tasty and it feels like you're really eating something for a change instead of a bowl of gruel!!

It sounds so good and just right for me. I like the taste of oatmeal but have never liked the texture of cooked oatmeal. I'm going to look for it.
